In 1922, the Gruber family and their maid were brutally murdered on their isolated farmstead in Hinterkaifeck, Germany. The case remains one of Germany's most famous unsolved murders. In the days leading up to the killings, strange occurrences took place: the family found footprints leading to the house but none leaving, they heard footsteps in the attic, and discovered a strange newspaper on the property. Despite numerous investigations, the identity of the killer(s) remains unknown, and the eerie circumstances of the crime have fueled speculation and fear for decades.
