The Hisma desert with our MAN HX60 Bliss Mobil - part #2

We originally wanted to spend some 5 days in the Hisma desert. Monique had collected many points of interest to visit. We already reluctantly shortened our excursion into the Hisma. We learnt during the trip that large parts of the Hisma, including Secret garden and others are now fenced off completely as part of the Neom (tourist resort) developments. Although good for Saudi tourism, not good for overlanders. It made us feel slightly less bad about shortening our trip. We fully realised that this was our last trip into a beautiful desert for some time. We will miss the various beautiful deserts a lot. We hope you enjoy our (rather long) impression.

Toevallig kwam ik vorige week langs op jullie kanaal. Ik verwonderde me over jullie fascinatie voor dit soort gebieden, maar als ik deze beelden zie, dan weet ik het antwoord wel. Wat n gave omgeving. Dat contrast tussen het zand en de rotsen. We zijn nu een jaar bezig om alles klaar te maken voor onze reizen, maar we gaan hier zeker heen. Dank jullie wel. Gr Eric
