I was raised in Bootle as a child the canal was an integral part of my childhood.. My school was alongside the canal and the workshop I served my apprenticeship was at another location also on the canal bank. Later in the year I hope to revisit Bootle and walk the tow path from Millers bridge into Liverpool. This was a really informative presentation many thanks to all concerned.

Do you remember the opening sequence to Z cars? That was the Lift Bridge, close to the Sausage factory on the canal

Needed to mention tobacco warehouse as its a magnificent building which links into the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Maybe for a later episode
