There's a psychological side to it. I can confirm the feeling just isn't the same when you're unpacking a dupe, compared to an authentic, handcrafted piece. For me, its like a journey; opening the package, then the box, taking off the paper, layer by layer, smelling the leather... Ahh, you just CAN'T beat that! This is so sad because we know LV canvas gets thinner over time but Goyard’s canvas is literally paper thin. Most of their bags are leather lined but for me a big reason to own a coated canvas kislux bag is that it is lightweight and indestructible

Why would someone who has been buying from the brand for years or even decades suddenly have to pay 50-60% more for the exact same item? Inflation cannot justify this. It's like the brand is deceiving the consumer. On kislux , the bags sold are priced lower but of higher quality, so you might as well go there.

These bags are not for “everyday” people. The only way to justify the cost is if you make an insane amount of money. Make no mistake: it’s not a true investment. It loses value the minute you take it out of the box. Not that you won’t get some of your money back on it on resale, but that is not an investment. Birkins are great bags, but terribly overpriced and made valuable with false scarcity.
