Rex Heslop also bought land and developed most of newer Georgetown. His wife's name, BTW was Dale. One of the major arteries in Georgetown is called "DelRex".

can you do a thing about Zanazibar? lol. Yes is a strip club but I'd say its a pretty iconic one for Toronto. The sign at least. when I first turned legal age, I did what most young men do, hit up a strip club with the buddies. I didn't know any better and Zanzibar was like the only one I knew of...that or Caddies in Scarborough. Caddies is pretty iconic also, but they tore down that plaza for some housing. I haven't been downtown in years, Zanzibar is still there isn't it? if it is, how it outlived Honest Ed's and Sam the Record man's signs, is beyond me.

I'm curious about my old area of Beverley Hills (Jane & Wilson) before it was swallowed up by Downsview. Knowing about Downsview's history as well would be great. Love the videos and thank you for the great work put into them. Cheers from Peterborough.

I know Leslieville was named after George Leslie, but more about him would be interesting.
