Grew up in Rutledge as a child and at a very young age worked in the fields with my grandfather tobacco and all the rest but I did not know that I was working because I was so loved we also made molasses I was about 5 or 6 but we went to cades cove often back in the 60s very different than now but still beautiful I am old now but miss the beauty of the smoky mountains and the respect that people had for each other
@photographyadventuresbygraciel Жыл бұрын
That’s awesome!! I have seen molasses made but I have never made none before! It sounds like you have had an amazing childhood! The Smokies is just something so special and it just draws everyone back! I think it’s the peacefulnesses of it minus the traffic! Hahaha!!

Gracie, thank you so very much for this amazing photo documentary and history on this magnificent place. You"re certainly right about the fantastic history and beautiful wildlife! Your images are amazing and I especially loved the female Ruby-throated Hummingbird and sleeping Bear. Blessings and all my best to you and yours...

Awee! Thank you so much George!! The bear had just came out of hibernation when I took that photo. He or she was still a little sleepy. It was truly an amazing sight to witness! The hummingbird was just past Henry Whitehead’s place collecting nectar! You never know what your gonna see on this road! Blessings to you and yours as well!!

This is absolutely some of the most interesting history I have saw on Cade’s Cove! It looks like it is a road well worth traveling. I will definitely be checking this out the next time I am in the Cove. The last few trips have been horrible with traffic so it is nice to know there is a place that is peaceful. Great video! I love all the wildlife photos too.
