makes me miss roughly 2004-2009 where magic art was often unapologetically surreal, otherworldly, and grotesque (especially in time spiral and lorwyn / shadowmoor). I started playing magic around that time as a young kid and before then all I really knew were Yugioh and Pokemon, so magic had a reputation to me as a very edgy and dark card game.

@NizzahonMagic3 жыл бұрын
Legacy Storm decks that use Ad Nauseam are not exactly "completely different" than the 2009 version I showed. The deck is still made up of Ad Nauseam, Rituals, Fast Mana, ways to keep the opponent from interacting, and tutors. You're right that there is some change for sure, but going on and on about the deck (ad Nauseam, if you will...) just to say "It uses Discard Spells and Flusterstorm now instead of Orim's Chant" would be a bit much.

I've been loving this series, but I have to say, I feel the Modern research into the deck fell a bit flat for me. There was no mention of how the deck was impacted by the SSG ban (no real mention of SSG at all, really, which is how the deck usually cast Lightning Storm) and how it has evolved to play around Thassa's Oracle. This one felt rushed. Again - love the content, but this one could have been better
