The early Cloudtrap scene is the reason why i got into Hip Hop in the first place, I think this is also a reason why a lot of outsiders got into hip hop in general - Artists like Lean and Rocky kind of bridged the gap between the mainstream and the underground. Also crazy how so many new subgernes are essentially cloudtrap derrivatives - In a way it has just evolved into these other subgenres, while the Gap for more "Classical" cloudtrap is filled by artists such as Smokedope2016

Amazing, me too! I got into english speaking rap through Yung Lean and Night Lovell ^^. And its really crazy how far cloud rap's influence reaches for the entirety of contemporary hip hop. It's always downplayed as that edgy drugged out mumble rap genre but its so much more than that.
