@realtalk61958 ай бұрын
In terms of the grassroots, he had the Northeast on lock, but Max B's influence still reached nationwide and into the UK and Canada too. Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller from Pittsburg, PA; Curren$y from New Orleans, LA; Kreayshawn, Lil Debbie and Lil B from the Bay Area, California, and SpaceGhostPurrp from Miami, FL were fans of Max B. Max B has songs with SoCal rappers like Mitchy Slick and Smigg Dirtee, NorCal rappers like The Jacka and Mistah FAB, and even NBA player Ron Artest. He also recorded with Beanie Sigel, Jadakis, Styles P. He had collabs with Canadian, UK and Southern rappers too.

Keep up with the great work with these documentaries! Learning about this era is great because it’s when I first started to fall in love with hip-hop. Even though I know most of what was going on, there’s still some glaring holes in my hip-hop knowledge. I was an Odd Future kid but wasn’t paying much attention to a lot of other artists at the time. As I’ve become more of a fan of hip-hop I’ve gone back and started appreciating other artists I never paid attention to and it’s nice seeing recommendations from people who truly appreciate the genre like this

yo nice video bro.. i wanna say tho that like none of us considered viper to be influential back then... most of the artists i listened to, myself, and some of the most legendary producers at the time simply had no idea who he was. he was a retrospective artist. it was only until like 4chan started talking abt him that people started to check his music out and was like dayum, thats kinda cool! regardless tho, this video is sick. i grew up in this era and started making my own cloud inspired beats in 2013 when i was still in elementary, so this video speaks volumes to me. you could not escape this kind of music back then if you were online :p
