We need more Jake Pernod in Nashville! Nashville should be ashamed at what they’ve done to country music. Keep the traditional sound alive!!!!

Just discovered Jake on KZbin, he’s just what good CountryMusic is all about. It’s great to hear him sing the old country songs in good sound, many of the original music is lost or they are poor recordings, etc. Does he have any plans to visit the UK, we need someone like that over here?

Hanks Lovesick blues was a Tin Pan alley song from 1922. His country-style cover was masterful. It was the first country song I learned to love. My mother sang it to me at age of 5 or 6 in 1955. mother singing at home when I was 5 or 6.

This man is nothing short of astonishing! Nashville has perverted country music to the point I don't even turn on regular radio any more. If it wasn't for Willie's Roadhouse on satellite, I wouldn't have anything to listen to while I'm driving. I didn't think we would ever get REAL new country music again. Too bad the industry won't play his stuff because they think they have to play that new junk they call country. I'm wondering where I'm going to be able to listen to Jake.

He’s still an up-and-comer. Most of his performances have been as tributes to Hank Williams, Sr. However, his own music has gaines traction and he is slowly shedding his tribute performances in favor of developing his own musical identity. People are hungry for traditional country music. He’s providing that, but getting name exposure is a hill which must first be climbed. But Jake comes by this genre of music honestly. He’s hardly just a copycat of another famous artists.
