I remember the first BB gun my dad gave me the one he had as a kid and then I passed it down to my son hope he does the same thing

It's interesting how the Red Ryder got the glory for having the compass in the stock and the thing that tells time when it did not actually have those features. Do you think Mr Shepherd really had the Daisy Buck Jones Special BB Rifle but changed the name in his story deliberately or did he just remember it wrong? Maybe he felt the public would recognize the Red Ryder name more readily or it was a suggestion from his editor.

Ever use any lubricant besides the motor oil daisy recommends ? Many of my other air guns use a silicone oil. Also thinking of trying Ballistol ??

Older guns I've used motor oil but generally I stick with Pellgun oil or 3in1silicone lubricant. I've used ballistol and CLP to clean the guns. Be sure to check out my entire collection at www.pickingadaisy.com Keep on shootin!
