I remember a build I had: vampirism dagger with gale, that did CRAZY damage. Pretty sure the astral wind did over a bar post the damage nerfs, but that wasn’t the worst part of the build. The worst part was the corrupted soul jar that would ONE SHOT anyone, and it had the insanity variant, which combined with lose your mind was probably the best verse 1 build I ever saw.

The super modified mantras still exist. I one time got hit by an interplanetary arcwarder move that covered the entire chime arena, was un parry able and did 60% that was about 2 months ago

Hear me out gale has always been top tier probably number 2 even now however people don’t put the time into it in most metas even now it’s really good because of combos and had the highest skill cap

Gonna go into reasoning mainly due to its utility it has a mantra for everything fast startups (used to be gale lunge and now astral) it has decent damage (the uppercut and astral) movement (gale dashes and gale lunge and now spectre path) and combos and mixups is what gale is known for all it is missing is area denial however gale trap and tornado kinda work like that and pve it’s currently really good idk about the past pve tho only thing its missing is an eclipse kick (a nuke mantra)
