dominion 2017 was my first njpw show. i kept hearing about njpw and it was amazing. omega vs okada came out and i was like lets see if the hype is real. to this day, that match is my favorite match of all time. been following njpw ever since.

The last two years of Dominion main events haven't exactly been.....good? Fans booed in 2019 when the ring announcer said the show was over. EVIL's win in 2020 was pretty badly executed (no one bought that BUSHI was interfering) and marred by the crowd being unable to truly react. That apparently is going to be the case this year too. I'm hoping Monday will be good, but it's being so thrown together so hurriedly and haphazardly that I'm not holding my breath. Japan needs to get out of the COVID coma so NJPW can thrive again.
