I love doubles. Have had them in Trinidad and Brooklyn A&A and also Trinicity Ozone Park really close to JFK airport. Where they also have shrimp doubles and duck doubles! And bake and shark! A suggestion if you don't mind. That music is very distracting and often drowns out the words. I would love to hear the street sounds of Trinidad in the background instead. But great video and great interviews.

I am a born Trinidadian live in Trinidad for 45 years. I will settle this once and for all. I had doubles almost all over North Trinidad from Sangre Grande to St James and Chaguanas to Couva. I went Debe only a few times in my life and that was in the year 1999 and I saw several doubles vendors on the Debe strip. So I decide to try one and I chose a random vendor. I jump back in the vehicle to leave and start eating the doubles and I had to stop the vehicle to SPIT OUT THE DOUBLES AND THROW IT IN THE SIDEBUSH. And up to this day I NEVER HAD A STINKER DOUBLES IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. IT WAS ALSO THE STINKEST THING I EVER ATE IN MY LIFE. UP TO TODAY I REGRET EATING THAT STINKING FECES. DEBE CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER. EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME SICK UP TO TODAY. DEBE HAS THE STINKEST DOUBLES IN THE WORLD IN 1999. However, that was 25 years ago and things have changed. I believe they have improved their doubles and it isn't as STINK as it used to be. I think Hasaanali has the best doubles in DEBE and I think it taste OK. Not sure. History Note: Doubles was invented in SAN JUAN and NOT in PRINCESS TOWN. And that is why SAN JUAN has the best doubles in the world. Else if it was PRINCESS TOWN then it would have been DEBE who has the best. But Debe had the STINKEST DOUBLES IN THE WORLD. And yes, I am an EAST INDIAN who knows about doubles and the truth about its origin because my grandfather used to sell SINGLES in the 1940s in SANGRE GRANDE and he DID NOT get the recipe from PRINCESS TOWN but SAN JUAN. I don't sell doubles but I make doubles at home to eat and it is TASTY and NOT STINK. It is SHAMEFUL that the INDIAN COMMUNITY IN TRINIDAD IS LYING TO THE WORLD about the PRINCESS TOWN COUPLE invented SINGLES. An early photo proves NOTHING. THE DEEN FAMILY SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR LYING TO THE WORLD AND STEALING OTHER PEOPLE CREATION!

I remember sauce in 1991 in curepe junction. On my way to school in Aranguez. I will save my $1 passage fee to walk and buy from him. He use to mock me when i would say " geh meh one with every-ting an plenty peppa". It was good times and a time of prosperity in Trinidad. Now i live in the beautiful Suburbs of Delaware and i have to drive 2.5 hours to NY to get good doubles. However, i find myself comparing every doubles i eat to Sauce. Bless you brother......RIP

@@kapsinparadise there are a few different Paltoos Stands - not all are d same for some reason. D one by MS is consistantly good. It also have 2 doubles men in Barrackpore that real people does rate - one by d Police Station and one by #2 Junction...(d one by #2 does LASH)
