My family is from LaGrange Co. My dad was from Goshen and raised Mennonite. My mom was raised in LaGrange, her father was first generation Americans raised Mennonite. Her family was going to The Church of God, where after marriage they continued. They first lived in Shippsiwanna while building a home at the bottom of Middlebury Hill. Across from Miller's saw mill and lumber company. A lot of our family remains there today. We moved to Minnesota in '63 then to Missouri in '72 now we are back around the Amish Communities in North Central Missouri! It brings me back to our past and my son has an Amish partner in his own Logging Company. I'm so happy you have found the true Faith in Christ and God's Love for us all. We are all God's Children and he loves us so. Our relatives fought so hard to bring his word to a world of doubt and despair and fled Switzerland to Germany for that right to believe. They came to this raw harsh land for that freedom we have now. Some remained Anabaptis, Mennonite, Amish, and some split entirely but the true believers remain God's children and pass the history on. Life is so much better for us all for in Christ's Blood we know where tomorrow begins by his side in Heaven. Love your log homes.💜

Thank you for this video. I have been watching Joas and Priscilla’s videos for awhile and love the way they live their lives and are raising their children. I was raised a Catholic and when I married joined my husband in the Christian Church so I understand a little of what you are saying about blending your lives. You can leave one way of life but still have those values all the while adding more to your lives and values. I would love to visit your area and meet your precious people. Thank you and God bless you all. Stay safe.

Have to say, as I was listening to each of you speak about your faith, the hair was rising on my arms and I was full of the Joy of the Lord. That doesn't necessarily happen every day for me. I am a born-again, spirit-filled believer who loves and worships Jesus and fellowships with Him each day with reading scripture, praising Him and prayer...and I am DELIGHTED to find out about this amazing revival amongst the Amish culture/peoples! God is still moving all around the world, Amen?

What a great and truthful video, I was raised Amish and left them when I was 17. I've sure learned a lot of Truth since, I definitely can agree with all you said in this video! It's a lot of good things we was taught and never will forget. I take a lot of interest in the way you all stay together as I family, community and church and still have freedom while living for the Lord our God! Thanks for sharing your faith and God bless you all!

Jacob, based on your last name I would assume you are from Arthur, Illinois? I was born there, and still have Amish and Mennonite relatives there. You may have known Deacon David Troyer, who was my grandfather.

you all should contact the Amish family that became Seventh Day Adventist. Andy and Naomi Weaver. They have a great testimony too. They wanted to keep the way of life, but they wanted to be part of what's God plan was. They started reading the scriptures and not so much as follow rules and traditions. They are now missionaries in the Amish community bringing other Amish people to know who our Lord and savor is though studying the Bible and scriptures.

This was an amazing video - thank you for sharing it! It was great to learn a little about your Holy Spirit-inspired history and especially to see a family so rich in God-given talents. Despite what this family have achieved, it appears that God has so much more waiting for them to realize in the future. May God richly bless your family’s future together.

You folks explained so well what your motivations were in making the move to Montana. In one way or another all of us are responsive and responsible to our faiths and what drives us in our convictions and wishes for our family's futures. It's a juggling act at times but you have embraced the best of both worlds and what a deserving tribute to your ambitions, vision and hard work. I'm getting a little long in the tooth but I would love for my lady friend and I to visit your area and take the Farm Store 'tour' with Leona and spend a few minutes with Lloyd and Elvie. We so much enjoy the personal side you bring to your videos. You are warm and welcoming, just like your log homes.

This lost world needs to see the difference in those of us who have responded to God’s call on our lives to follow our Savior Jesus Christ and live for His glory! We have been blesse by your family, first through Joas and Priscilla, and now through these videos! Thank you for sharing what the Lord is doing in your lives. We can’t go wrong when we follow God’s Word!!!

You are right Grossdaadi Ora , being Amish is just your culture. As your son says ,” it is the tribe you are born in”. Everyone wants to think that their culture is the best but your culture is not who you are in Christ, for in Him are neither Jew, nor Greek, nor slave, nor free, nor...........Amish. The sons of God are those who come to him through faith in Jesus Christ. He has sons from every nation and tribe and tongue and culture! Selah! I worship God for the journey he has brought you and your people on. I know what a painful thing it is to be disfellowshipped. May you continue to grow in faith and grace and come to understand the blessing of your heritage and foundation of faith.

Family value, being grateful for God’s gift to us, and love, raising our families in the value of family, is how I’ve been raised, raised my children, & help raising my grandchildren. Much live to all brothers and sisters that show the heart & teach the value of God, just love, respect. Me very humbled.

I will pray everyday, from today, that God lead these spirit-filled followers of our King, to share more and more of their complete skill sets and practices with those of us that are hungry for it. For many many years, since I first knew of their lifestyle, I wished there could be a way to learn from them. Their well developed farming methods, their community spirit and practices, their survival methods, and many other skills they hv developed through the centuries. I wish they would consider helping start up farms and homesteads of people that hv very little knowledge of this way of life and yet want and hv realized the importance of “coming out of the world” and living a Godly life. God Bless.

Hi there, I follow the Christian Identity interpretation of The Bible. I'm moving to Libby very soon, buying a house and looking to start a family. Looking for people I can associate with who I can trust with my future children & wife. Hopefully I can meet you some time. I'm still a single unattached man now - but fully intend on laying down roots and starting a family in Yahweh's name.

I've been shunned since 1985,,,,,and they think I'm going to hell. What they don't understand is God forgives sins that they won't or can't or they think is unforgivable. And yes,,, it would be sweet to see an amish community that would be completely free in the spirit and taking the bible for what it says and NOT connecting their rules and regulations to getting to heaven. """ I have to do this and this and this so I have a better chance to get to heaven"""" Jesus has done everything that it takes for us to go to heaven Mixing rules and regulations with salvation is called trying to get to heaven by works,,,, it will never work. Its by faith (believing) and the finished work of Jesus Christ . By no other name can man be saved except by the name of JESUS!! Lloyd,,, I,ve spoken to you in Millersburg OH but I'm not from there. Follow God and you won't go wrong!!! 11-2020

I'm guilty, I call it the Amish Store. The ending part does coincide with a thought I have had, if technology fails, those who grew up Amish would have the knowledge on agriculture and home building that could save humanity from self destruction. I personally have no idea/experience in hitching up a horse or bull to a plow. Nor to a wagon. I do have basic taught experience on saddling up a horse. I have been reading up and trying various ways of gardening that isn't conventional, because city (ex. Spokane WA) living doesn't always allow conventional methods.

There’s always a remnant drawn out of each sect ... that are drawn out in Jesus Christ. Not one sect or denomination in the only; there are believers in Christ come forth from different sects/denominations Bc God draws them out in TRUTH and unto Himself.
