That 4-0 win against Newcastle was my favourite game in the 48 years I've been supporting City!

This brings back so many memories for me. I remember being on my Dad's shoulders when we got promoted in 1990 and invading the pitch. Being a ball boy for the club which meant free admission and a fantastic view of the game. Then relegation, administration, the Man Utd games, double promotion and the fact that the fans own the club. Great video. This needs more views!

you Grecians’ experience from the 60s to the early 00s is near identical to your closest easterly league neighbours from Dean Court. the odd big scalp , selling nearly every hero to keep afloat ,legends whom stayed but unknown elsewhere, regular relegation battles , very few promotions & just one visit to the 2nd tier , last minute rescues thanks to fans’ whip rounds ,big name managers whom did nothing & the year after rebuilding the ground end up at 92nd ! I’ve followed AFCBournemoth since Ted Mc Dougall but since promotion to the top division in 2015 there’s a weird disconnect - whether it because its so surreal & no cherries fan ever believed they’d be there or their becoming a permanent underdog cog amongst the crazy money world of non stop international player trading , I can’t decide but I’d rather Boscombe do the double over southampton & be relegated to the championship than escape having been beaten by them both matches so totally get that season when Exeter beat Argyle home & away. excuse my waffle & hope City will be regularly meeting southampton in the league come 24/25 👍

My dear mum used to tell me about how my grandfather got a ticket to see the mighty Manchester United back in 1969 at St. James Park. What an occasion that must've been.

Yes . I was 5 & my older brother & me loved Bestie & young Willy Morgan cos they were unusual for top sportsmen in having extremely hip longish hair & it was another 2 years until a player with proper long hair made football headlines which was Charlie George in the FA cup final ! Your granddad was indeed very fortunate to see a real Legendary team & at his local club . 👍

@@Lorax405 I’m glad that you haven’t though. St James’s Park is an old school ground full of character. Those types of grounds are becoming fewer and fewer, which is a shame.

the league needs teams at the western end of the south so thank the gods that Exeter & B’mouth rode the storms of the 00s & I hope the resolve of hardcore fans of Yeovil Torquay Weymouth Bath or even Salisbury can inspire that same confidence to keep them on the football map to gain attention from soccer loving potential owners if push comes to shove . Heroes of the past like Graham Rees really do deserve honorary plaques because they make the difference when smaller fish are in a shitstorm or shitpond of a season..🙄😁👍
