Hope you all enjoyed the documentary! Do you have any fond memories of Dixieland Fun Park or Fun Junction USA before it became a Fun Spot park?

Great documentary Miguel! That's a lot of backstory I didn't know about the former park since I didn't even move to GA until 2017. I think Fun Spot Atlanta has so much potential growth not only because of AF1, but how much land they have and how they are not landlocked like the other Fun Spot parks, or even SFoG is. I can definitely see a rising contender of a theme park in the next few years. keep up the awesome content!

Man, it's great to see this place growing. My parents went on many dates here when they were younger and seeing it still alive and well to this day is awesome :)

Great video! I do have a couple of corrections for you though. 🙂 You had circled a Fun Spot go cart track as one of the 3 Dixieland tracks. Actually, this track (known as Samson) is a 40 foot multi level track Fun Spot built soon after the rebranding. The 3rd Dixieland track is a kid's track closer to the main building. Then you mentioned the Ferris wheel when you talked about Fun Junction's new pricing structure. The Ferris wheel was also added later by Fun Spot. They've added so many new rides here since taking over this park, its not easy keeping up with them! And I do believe that before Dixieland, the main building you see today used to be a flea market, which may help to explain the rather odd original parking lot layout you see underneath today's rides. As a longtime resident of Fayette County, I particularly enjoyed the opening. And I didn't know about Dixieland growing to Gwinnett. ...How long did that one last? Again, great video!

Confirming it started as what was known as weekenders flea market.

Glad yall enjoyed the video! Apologies on the very beginning, mistakes can be made with tons of research like this. I thank you for bringing it to light to my attention! That's interesting it was a flea market though!

I purchased the Laser Tag vests and guns from one of the Dixieland locations in 2007 or 2008 for a Florida teen center. I am actually about to open a family entertainment center, now living in Lawrenceville, GA and just remembered the name of where I got that used system... So, thanks for the documentary. I am going to hang a photo of those teens in that teen center playing on the dixieland used systen, in my new laser tag arena. I was hoping to go visit that Dixieland but I have the idea that it was the Gwinnett location which closed. (Maybe why they were selling the system) Great piece of history!

O k, so I lived in Gwinnett county from 2000 to 2012. And this is the first time I have never heard of Dixie land gwinnett. Does anyone know where the physical location was

Hey, I want to just provide some constructive criticism. Love the video, great history, great coverage.... But the first two minutes can really just be removed outright. I'm surprised your video doesn't have thousands more views, but I think that with a little bit of improvement like this at the lead of the video, you really have something great going

Yeah I'm actually in agreement with you. This was actually a really thorough video. Probably my hardest one research wise cause there's barely anything on this parks history plus it's not mindblowingly interesting the origin. Therefore if you've seen some of my other documentaries, I start them off strong cause there's more to those other topics. Lol to say so the least, I had to dig deep to find a way to start this one. Proud that I got it done but I do understand what you're saying. I do agree as well that it should have more views not just cause I made it because it's actually a really good piece of work and one that I'd back any day. But that goes with experimenting on styles and subjects.
