Me and my friend were really both into model kits when we were younger. He grew up to become an engineer, and I grew up to have depression constantly questioning whether I'm actually skilled at anything the world deems important.

12:25 heck I listened to this while I built my revive HG gouf and honestly there is something so satisfying about making them instead of buying a figure and it looking exactly how it is on the box you have to make it out effortlessly into making it look as good as you want it to be

As someone who built megazords as a kid, some Zoids figures and Transformers, getting into Gunpla was a great move on my part. Just had to make sure no one touches them otherwise if a part is missing, you have to buy another kit just to replace that one part. I had to do that a year or so ago but I love my gundam Double X damn it even if Sunrise were like the models ain't selling, cut the show to a few episodes. In any case, while I prefer HG kits because I don't have a big space to put Master or perfect grades, this was a nice little history lesson and you did a fine job!
@Viseak3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Yeah the kits are definitely fun, I think the main reason I want to lean towards master or perfect grades is so they don’t end up looking small and odd in contrast to the Zoids, but with that being said, the Real Grades have caught my eye recently Once more kits actually come back into stock I’ll end up making my decision on which route I’m gonna take haha

I really like building model kits. When I first found out that there were zoid model kits, I started my expensive hobby and wanted to build every zoid I can get.

I've been building Gunpla for nearly 9 years now and I have always wanted to build a HMM Blade Liger since they launched the line when I was in high school channels like yours along with Gunpla reviewers Mecha Gaikiotsu and ZakuAurelius amde me decide that I should finally buy one. So last week I finally bought my first Zoid kit since I got a Hasbro motorized Pteras nearly 20 years ago when I was a kid and bought a Blade Liger. I'm kinda disappointed that everywhere is sold out of them and wont be in stock till later in the year but with luck mine will arrive by the time I turn 30 in early January.

That’s awesome man! Guys like Mecha Gaikiotsu and ZakuArelius are peeps I watch myself too (despite only really building Zoids haha) and it’s cool to see my name mentioned alongside them. It’s such a shame you have to wait I know the anticipation would be killing me, but here’s a silver lining, I reckon you’ll be glad you waited to buy the blade liger now rather than years ago, cause they’ve made SO many improvements to the moulding and it’s a much sturdier kit than it use to be, my Blade Liger AB Bang Ver is impossible to pose without falling apart, it’s easily my most fragile kit. It also doesn’t help that I built it back when I was 13 I think? Hopefully it comes in time for your birthday dude! To hold ya over, conveniently enough I’ve even got a Blade Liger built on my channel, so feel free to check that out if ya haven’t already

Despite HG not being on the same detail as MG, PG and RG they’re definitely great as decently priced model kits that are quite accurate to their on screen counterparts parts (and hey at least for their price they are worth it can be more poseable than spending the same amount of money on a modern transformer figure which looks like it’s cheaper than the HG gunpla kits)

Should have figured you were a fan of Gundam too lol. Great video! Got a favorite Gundam kit? (I exclusively collect 1/144 scale Gunpla, so all I have are High Grades-until Bandai trashed any plans they had to make a HGUC Nu Gundam Revive. I decided to spoil myself with the RG Nu Gundam after battling COVID a few months back; now I'm afraid I've ruined HGs forever by building it. This thing is beautiful.)

Cheers! Funnily enough I've only recently taken the plunge to watch the entirety of Gundam (the UC timeline at least) and haven't purchased any Gunpla as of yet. I did have a few HG's from 00 (I think?) many years back but I could barely count those, I knew nothing of the series then and wouldn't have a clue where they are anymore haha For my first proper dive into Gunpla, I'm hoping to grab an RG Nu Gundam and RG Sazabi to match, only problem at the moment is finding them in stock lol

I remember foolishly getting the HMM Lightning Saix as an impulse buy years ago but felt intimidated by all the assembly (I barely built kits before then but love Zoids). After some experience with customizing other kits and grabbing a Shadow Fox, I finally saw the Saix on sale and got it yet again 😂 Gotta redeem myself! Anyway this was an awesome history vid, excellent job on the research!
@Viseak3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha cheers man! The Lightning Saix honestly has a few tricky parts to it especially around the neck area, so if you’re new I can imagine it’d get frustrating at times, absolutely awesome looking kit tho I’m keen to build the shadow fox myself but I got a few other kits in the backlog to get to first
@BlackMageDark3 жыл бұрын
@@Viseak such a gorgeous kit, lol I remember part of the neck giving me trouble in my initial run. I nearly broke its fangs that time too and that scared me for a long time. SF was surprisingly very straightforward to build, I wouldn't peg it as beginner but intermediate for sure. The forearms can be sorta tricky though if you're not paying attention.
