To be fair, Rebecca makes pretty normal sounding pop music now. I’m a socal native and was in junior high when Friday came out. Everyone said they hated it, but they still played it nonstop every friday. If people truly hated it, I don’t think they would willingly play and listen to it as many times as they did. It’s a pretty easy song to make fun of though. I definitely found it to be annoying, but the other kids got hyped when it came on.
