The History of Lalaloopsy!

*History update!* This vid may have ended with the downfall of Lalaloopsy, but they're back now! In August 2021, new dolls were released for the 10th anniversary! There were re-releases of Crumbs, Dot, Mittens, Jewel, Pix E, Cloud E, Sweetie and a classic version of Storm E. The little sisters of these characters were released as well (Dot, Sweetie and Storm E's sisters were new!) along with Candle/Wishes and a four pack with Suzette/Mini and new sisters Crumpet/Teacup Hearts. Most surprisingly, April, Scoops and Confetti were given Silly Hair dolls! Along with the dolls came a new KZbin series called 'Let's Create', which featured fun 'Loopsy-inspired crafts. It's certainly a sew cute celebration! :D *edit: 2022 started off with the first wave of minis being released! Everyone from the full size line was there except for Dot and Mittens. Scoops, Sweetie and Crumbs were released in a Sweets Fair three pack. Ocean was re-released for a new Bubbly Mermaids line along with a new mermaid, Laguna Sea Splash. In July, series 2 of the minis were released featuring Pillow, Bea, Rosy, Blossom, Candle and a new Ocean mini. Mittens and Dot finally got minis along with Peanut in a Craft Fair three pack. The Color Me line of full-size dolls came back in plush form with the return of Spot and a new character, Penny Dots n' Blots. Unfortunately, the minis and Color Me dolls were only out for a brief period of time on Amazon while a re-release of the Peanut ferris wheel didn't release at all. A re-release of the Spot/Patch treehouse playset is still on Amazon, however! The Lalas went out quietly, but every fan was sew happy to see their return, even if it wasn't for very long! :)

also the new packaging is sew cute!! not only is it a house and it includes a pet house too, but the last step of taking the doll out of the box is to pull this cardboard thread and needle, and that releases the doll out of the packaging!!! its really cool because thats how the dolls came to life!!

Omg I feel so great to know that people remember lalaloopsies. i always felt they were very underrated as I was obsessed with lalaloopsies when I was 6 years old I felt very sad when I realized they werent in stores anymore and Im glad I still have all my dolls to this day as I almost sold them one time. i will forever love lalaloopsies doesnt matter how old I am. 😊

I miss it sooooooo much!!!!!! It was such a great show! And my favorite when I was little. I love it so much, I spent my own Christmas money to buy two of the movies in dvd form just so that I could get that rush of nostalgia! Lalaloopsy will always be a part of me. 🥲

To be honest, I was never really into Lalaloopsy. The only adverts I remember seeing on TV here in the UK were the Tinies ad, the Diaper Surprise ad & the Potty Surprise ad. The only doll I got was a Crumbs Sugar Cookie and I never really played with that. Now that I’m a bit older, I’ve grown more fond of them and I do hope MGA will keep Lalaloopsy around for a bit longer or I am going to lose it.

I kind of think the Nick Jr. show's cancellation caused the downfall of the franchise. It can't be a coincidence that 2016 (the first year without the show) was when the classic line declined and was phased out later in the year.

It's such a bummer! Maybe MGA will notice and bring them back for their 15th anniversary? Bratz has come back three times now (their 10th anniversary, that weird reboot and the 20th anniversary repros) so maybe Lalaloopsy will do the same! No matter what I'm happy people still love the Lalas! :D

So the reason the LaLa logo has that awkward tall bit on the white part is that is where the "Buttons" part originally sat, but when it was time to change the name and logo they didn't want to change the cut of where the cardboard meets the clear plastic on the box so they left that top part in.(probably cheaper that way) makes you wonder where the name " Lalaloopsy" came from.

I miss them a lot. I used to do the best of my ability to collect the ones I wanted. I couldn’t, but not years later I’m looking back at them, they were a fine collection. I got a lot of pretty okay stuff back. I also watched the series (not consistently) but watched the Netflix series consistently and it was firey! I watched it twice. I liked it even as an adult. Now I shifted to collecting a COMPLETELY different kind of dolls, and my collection is a picky collection, and I only get the ones I like VERY quickly, because of the fear of loosing them in the future, I let this happen with moshi monsters and I keep regretting this to this day. It truly was something that changed the world.

When i was little i used to be scared of lalaloopsies but after some time i became obsessed with them, i got to have only like 2 original mini dolls since they were super expensive in my country. Also, the Hungry Jellies had a big push this year. 2016: Cage Bombs and Swirly Jellies and Double Growing Dirt, many new characters! And also, here's something special, 1000 LEVELS! 2017: Now there's 1000+ levels! Totem Jellies and others are coming! And also we now hit 1100 levels. Too much eh? 2018: 1200+ levels? @@britishchick09 Yes, I did. I play the game so much I'm in the 1700s. Not easy levels. If you ever start playing Jelly Splash try to do Let's Plays. It would make Jelly Splash more relevant. The game already has enough levels. Like 3980 levels. Too much, idk who gets this far, but whoever does is the Jelly Splash God. If you get to level 3000 itself, you're a Jelly Splash Gladiator Level 2500: Guardian 2000: Master 1500: Pro 1000: King 500: Dazzling 100: Amateur 50: Novice Also my hardest levels were level 1299 and 1604. 1604 is rigged, and 1299 is also rigged. 1604 is incredibly hard, if you ever end up on that level, it will take you at least a month to beat! I really hated it, and whenever I get a difficult grey slime level, I GET FLASHBACKS!

Great video 😊 good to see our loopy girls to the respect they deserve. I have very fawn memories of lalaloopsy that doll line, plus monster and ever after high kinda shape my tween years. I use to read the ultimate collectors guide religiously as a kid and I even had some lalaloopsy movies and games for my 3ds too. Idk much of the plot was for the game was but from what I do remember u make an oc and just trivial around lalaloopsy land making friends and doing arts and crafts. This video was a nice trip down memory lane, lalaloopsy was always more then just sew magical so cute, to me as a kid. It was a world wear your imagination runs wild and creativity flys. ♥️♥️♥️
