Vintage 80s/90s Liz Claiborne and Anne Taylor are my favorite things to find in thrift stores. The quality of the fabrics and designs for both those brands were soo amazing in that era.

Liz vintage is also my absolute favorite thrift find. Her well made pieces pack a classic punch but with a loose not-too-stuffy tailored look. Like hip vintage, and it pairs extremely well with modern pieces. Every time I look at rocks of thrift items, and something pops out to me, I’ll look at the tag and it’s frequently Liz Clairborne! I LOVE these videos! Vintage Liz stuff is awesome. My mom was a huge fan back in the 80s and 90s. My suggestions are White Stag, Bobbie Brooks and Lane Bryant. I had no idea that any of these companies were around for so long until I found some super vintage pieces. I did a little of my own research, definitely interesting!

OMG! As soon as I saw the title I knew I had to stop what I was doing and watch this! I lOVED her stuff when I was in HS and college (yes, wise beyond my years in fashion is what I like to think of it). But yea, today's line is not so much my jam. worked for LC back in the early 80's during that period of intense growth. It was a real trip. Going from a couple of hundred million in sales to over a billion in a few short years. Made some great friends and met my wife there. Sad to think I'm so old that her designs are now considered vintage, lol.

As a guy old Claiborne is such a score when you find it. Great relaxed fits, nice minimal colors, and good fabric. Very norm-core and chill looking.

This is my absolute favorite video that you’ve done! I love Liz she’s definitely my favorite to pick up. I have tried her modern stuff at JCP over and over doesn’t matter how nice the pieces their sizing and their cuts are completely off. And sadly to say when I did find a blouse I loved after the wash it was miss shaped. The Patterns from the 80s and 90s are just so rich and full of color. Casual Corner - Petite Sophisticated (they are the same company but most people do not know) would be a fun one to do. I work there in the 90s and slowly saw them tank. Sad because they had beautiful merchandise. The limited is also a good one. I worked there in early 2000s and it was brutal when they were taking a huge hit to the company. But like all companies they get in that routine of making the same exact stuff quarter after quarter just changing the colors. I wish all today’s companies would bring back the amazing patterns and prints. Thank again for the video 🤗

I loved Liz Claiborne back in the late 80s/early 90s. Everything was color-coordinated and such high quality. I only had a few pieces because they were more expensive than what I could usually afford. But I remember going to the mall just to see what was new in the Liz collections at Dillard's. Everything was such high quality. I remember really nice cotton and silk fabrics. I remember loving a Liz perfume, too. I can't remember if it was Curve or another one. BTW that same false story was also told about Gloria Vanderbilt and her jeans brand. I doubt that it was true about her, either.

Hi Christina Your video was very informative and enjoyed it very much. I bought a straw hat, in Arnotts, Ireland 🇮🇪, in the 1980's. I paid 35 pounds for it, which was a lot of money for me at that time. So I treasured it and took care of it for a lifetime. I washed it for the first time and saw the label Liz Claiborne on it. It maybe the only vintage piece of clothing I ever have and I'm dighted to know its history😊 so thank you for that! I will continue to wear and love my L.Claiborne hat for as long as it lasts ❤

Thank you! This video's emphasis on valuable and accurate information is a Godsend. I recently retired and have about 300 items (🤯) from my Chicago corporate wardrobe (1989-2016). I'm researching the best ways to part with my pride and joys to next generation caretakers......and earn few $ towards my retirement! It is mostly classic Liz Claiborne Collections and Jones New York/Jones Wear, great condition. And a scattering of Evan-Picone, Leslie Fay, Kasper, Chaus, ... size 6-10. Size Medium tops. Lots of foundational wardrobe and black, white, of course. Also, is there any guidance info available on how to fairly determine market value? The Vintage Fashion Guild link you provided was excellent, although no guidance of market value. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Chris
