I've seen many Nexus trades (for Elder, Baron, or even soul), and I must say the 10-man sleep was indeed very impressive. Had this move failed, TSM may not have completed their 0-6 airport speedrun. I still think this very difficult 10-man sleep was made possible thanks to the experience of Bjergsen and Doublelift, two legends of the airport speedrun : - apart from 2014 when TSM started in quarterfinals, Bjergsen never failed to reach airport before knock-out stage (4 times at Worlds and 2 times at MSI), - Doublelift only failed once (at MSI 2019 with TL to achieve the fastest bo5 defeat ever against G2 in finals) but succeeded the rest of the time (at MSI 2018, and six Worlds in a row from 2015 to 2020)

Doublelift should get some love for his all-time speedrun contribution. He has done it all. From flashing into the Viktor, over saving his flash for next season, to the absolute highlight: Taking 2 turret shots during the laning phase and then die 15 seconds later.. Plus: This man hasn't made it out of groups since Season 1, participating in the Speedrun for 6 straight seasons from 2015 to 2020... What a legend.

The TSM 0-6 run has to be the most legendary attempt just for the sake of also including the only recorded 9 man lillia ult that can be officially confirmed which many critics say cannot be replicated legitimately every again.

There was also the very difficult "triple run" category for major regions where you had to reach airport with all three of your teams in group stage. The first triple run with the 6 games format was achieved by EU at worlds 2014 when Fnatic, Alliance and the infamous SK Gaming all reached airport before quarterfinals. The next year, at Worlds 2015, NA had a rough first week (C9 3-0, CLG 2-1, TSM 1-2), but then in week 2 the NA teams achieved a miraculous 0-10 run to complete their first triple run. LPL almost achieved their own triple run on the very same year when LGD and IG both successfully dodged quarterfinals, but their MSI winning team EDG unfortunately faced two solid airport speedrunners in their own group : EU's H2k-Gaming and the 0-6 juggernaut Bangkok Titans. NA would later get several triple runs at Worlds 2019, 2020, and 2022 (barely missing the 2021 triple run because C9 won a tie-breaker against Rogue), cementing NA as the most dominant region in the triple run category.

The fastest game in worlds history is a respectable 19:03 by the same team that lost to NA this year, G2. G2 has clearly given up on a worlds title after 2019 and is now gunning for NA's world record title.

Unfortunately being in Play-In's disqualifies them from this video, however perhaps at some point soon we'll talk about play-in's... Until then, here's some fun facts for you that I've found: The LLA (including premerger LAN and LAS) is one of the least successful regions in history, having been at the bottom of most groups they've played in internationally, and only being at the top of their group once. In addition, I have looked through ever Worlds Event, MSI, and even the old International Wildcard Qualifiers they used to run before having group stages. And across all of those, an LLA team has only won a best-of series twice: 2023 MSI vs GAM, and of course 2024 Worlds. Both were won by R7, with Oddie, Ceo, and Lyonz, though their solo lanes changed, both sets were Korean imports. This makes 100T the only team to lose a Worlds series to the LLA, and the only Major Region team to lose a series to the LLA period. Also 100T is the only LCS team to ever fail out of World's Play-ins, even Clutch managed to do that much.
