The quality on these makes me wish there were versions of Ogress Fiona and Puss in Boots with the same qualities put on the set you covered. I never went to Meijer before but there are two far from where I live. One north and one south, the latter where Skeeter Jean went to in 2022 for a video and I instantly recognized the store since I pass by it when I go to Disc Replay or 2nd & Charles.

I knew you would look at these eventually I just remember some people on Twitter mentioning the Farquaad one to John Oliver (funny story, I made a post on one of my old blogs asking for those and someone caught wind of it and actually linked it to John Oliver). And yes I have seen Disney themselves doing that with Disney villains, i've seen figures of characters like Hades, Jafar, Ratigan, and Gaston.

7:01 heat styling my dude - or her hair was originally gelled to maintain its' shape. I'm a fashion doll collector and it looks like Fiona is using nylon hair, which is very responsive to both heat styling (although if you're not careful you can melt it) and gel shaping methods - heck if you leave nylon hair in a braid longterm it will retain the shape and become wavy/crimped.

Like I literally gave myself a stomachache and thought I was in a dream. She was just sitting there. At a flea market, in the sun. I never thought I would ever own one in my lifetime. She is a near-impossible doll to get even in rough shape. I will treasure her forever 🥲

@@garyinthefrozen 2. It’s got the perfect blend of comedy and action, the best soundtrack, and then all the nostalgia since it’s the film I was into the most as a kid. Objectively, you could make a case for Forever After. It’s “peak cinema” as the kids these days say.

It's pronounced "my-er" here in the midwest, they're nice stores and occasionally they have better selection than walmart or target in terms of toys. I weirdly get lucky in terms of Disney Cars diecasts there on the very rare chance I go there. They're kinda price-y though....

@austin_the_brimstone I just haven't been able to find anything new for any of the franchises I like for a while now. Cars cases take forever to show up, Sonic figures are the same ones over and over, I don't like paying reseller prices but I might just have to start doing that if I want anything new.

@@totallytidmouth a lot of big box retail has been sidelined in favor of online. It sucks. Some of the few good places I've actually seen new stuff: Toys R Us Pop-Ups in Macy's. Especially for Jakks Sonic. This is where I've found all of mine. Local Flea Market. A bunch of toys that never make it to retail end up at booths. Ross Discount Stores. I think they're only on the West coast but Ollie's is a good equivalent. Same type of store. And finally, a Walmart in an exurb. I live in SoCal so there really isn't any "rural" walmarts but I tend to find new toys in far suburbs or older parts of town. Basically, anywhere there won't be a bunch of us Gen Z'ers looking for Sonic figures. I ALWAYS hit up a few Walmarts when I go on road trips across the desert because they are usually a goldmine for new releases.

I'm midwestern so I've not got a lotta options, I never even considered Ross and my Ollie's I have never seem to have luck with. I love my flea markets but I don't ever find anything on a consistent basis
