By the late 16th century, Nri influence extended well beyond the nuclear northern Igbo region to Igbo settlements on the west bank of the Niger and communities affected by the Benin Empire. (Hrbek, p. 254.)

I think u missed Ife's actual start date as there certainly was a state there before Oduduwa but I guess this is just the first of several history of west africa videos to come.

First comment and like Btw: WTF with Edo Kingdom and its expansion, I thought it was french empire until i saw the year.

Edo Kingdom is stronger than our thought, and between 1335-70 the Edo under Oba (king) Ohen, streched territory from west to Dahomey, and east to Niger Delta.
