It's upsetting that there is no part 3 on something so interesting, but a widely covered topic like Baldur's Gate 3 receives so many vids.

One has to wonder why WotC chose to maintain the post-Faction War identity of Sigil in 3rd and 4th edition since, for all their faults, the Factions are so key to Planescape's identity. Maybe with 5e they'll finally wise up and have a new era of Factions arise after the Lady of Pain changes her mind. After all, she always loathed the Indeps because their independent thinking made them too hard to manipulate, which is why she's always taken an active interest in winnowing their ranks.

when I first dipped my toes into Planescape, I was a bit turned off by the factions mostly due to how obscure and immaterial they felt. Then, when I played Planescape Torment I realized how wrong I was. The Factions work because they are involve themselves in the functioning of Sigil. the Harmonium are the police, the Guvners are the lawyers, and the Godsmen are smiths. Even the Sensates provide a service the characters might need.

When you look up the cockney rhyme for "berk," it brings a whole other dimension of insult to the word.

Factol’s Manifesto is my all time favorite rpg book. It’s pure fluff for the DM really but it doesn’t point you in any direction whatsoever. It’s just the most pertinent facts and rumors that you need to know to bring the factions in Sigil to life.

I cut my teeth on 3rd edition planescape, its was so freaking good and the art was one of a kind. Torment was awesome as well. the steam edition is worth a buy if you have a computer. May the lady watch over you, friends. The toad demons are my favorite art out of 3rd and orcs look amazing.

I didn't get Planescape at the time. Not only did it fail to interest but I thought it was some kind of Monty Haul campaign where slaying gods was common. By the time I discovered otherwise, money was a bit tight. Now I'd much rather see its return than an MtG crossover.

I don't think we'll see the Cant return in 5e, simply because a lot of the Cant is based on very real English slang that is still actively in use today. Using the English slang word for c*nt with the casualness of surfer-slang's "dude" won't go unnoticed in this day and age, alas.
