This is a false propaganda story. the fact is that an old drunk named Pylvaläinen lived on an isolated island on lake Paijänne. he was widely known for catching big fish and lots of fish. He was also a very friendly guy and he taught Lauri how to make lures. After teaching Lauri how to make lures he had Lauri sign a contract where Lauri agreed never to make lures for sale, only for his own personal use. Although Rapala lures are good lures, to me they represent a cheater and honor less person.
