toller Inhalt.

I'd like to help you more about the history of the islands....Most of the influence in the architecture is spanisch but a hard portuguese influence, cause they started and try the conquest before castelians....but a lot of portugueses came with Alonso Fernández de Lugo to start the new european live style, agriculture, architecture, culture, etc. Many madeirenses came for sugar cane plantations and nowaday we have a lot of portuguese words in our dialect....
@UntraveledRoadsOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Oh wow super interesting. The sugar caneplanations were maninly in Tenerife and Gran Canaria or .. ?

@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial from Madeira came to Gran Canaria with Pedro de Vera and then to Tenerife and la Palma....In Taganana People from Portugal started the cane plantations, today part of Taganana is called Portugal, sure by people from Madeira ...

thank you for saying this because when i saw many of the buildings in tenerife, they reminded of Madeira. Edit - I wrote that even before I saw you mentioned Madeira. I just saw the 'portuguese' comment.

The music makes it difficult to hear or understand what you are saying. Love the video but the audio was not great. I have visited Tenerife and La Orotava, because my roots are from there. It was lovely to see Casa de los balconies. It's owned and run by family...MACHADO.

Hi, thanks for your comment, and the feedback. I fully agree with the sound and invested after the video in a better microphone and the audio overall should be improved. Nevertheless really glad you liked the video. Casa de los balconies was really beautiful to visit, hope you have soon a chance to visit again :-).

Thats a hard one but I think Madeira. It seems more quiet and less touristic. Even in the North of Tenerife it is very frequented. But there are some islands more to discover here in the Canaries. And also a different archipelago like Azores

Very cool video but I think that it would have been better to use traditional canarian music instead of andalusian music.

@Anonymous37529eight2 жыл бұрын
@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial Just search Los Sabandeños, Los Gofiones or just música tradicional canaria and you should find enough music.

History student here from Tenerife, I may correct you with some things you said! The canarian people do have many similarities with the bereber people, but they are in fact not the same. It is believed that the ancient canarian culture comes from the ethnic north african group called "Canarii". You said that those people who came here to the Canary Islands have a technology similar to a society from the stone age. This is in fact, not true, as modern studies have shown this first colonizers had in their posession metal pieces. It is believed that, without any big iron deposits in the canary islands, those people had to abandon metal-working technology, as it wasn't useful in their new enviorement. Everything about canarian history is, in fact, more myth than history. As currently we don't have much way of knowing how were they organized exactly. We only have what the first European "saw" at arriving, but this is very inaccurate as further analysis of archelogical evidence have proven many of the claims made in those early writings to be somewhat false. Btw, that guachinche you went to... Sorry to tell ya', but that's one of the most commercial ones. If you ask me, the best guachinches are those you can't even identify as a restaurant, even when walking in. Everything you said about guachinches was right but nowadays guachinches don't usually close depending on the time of the year or the current season. They usually stay open all year long.

Hey Spyrot, really thank you for your comment. Very interesting to hear, I will pin your comment since it might be very beneficial for other viewers. Indeed during my research I found different controversial sources. Very interesting though that there is so little known, do you know if there are researches going on? @@UntraveledRoadsOfficial Most studies about the Canary Islands are sadly currently under investigation. Even today we still find archeological sites that give us a lot of information about the Canary Islands as a whole. I currently and sadly cannot link you to any informative content about the Canary Islands pre-hispanic history as a whole, as I don't think there is any with current information. But I can maybe link you to some interesting research papers about the canary islands, altough they are in spanish.
