Great job! Magnum is one of those coasters where it used to be my favorite, then I went through a phase of absolutely hating it, but somehow I love it again. So odd.

Another top notch video. Yet another enjoyable and educative video. Before lockdown I knew NOTHING about ride manufacturers and their rides, and very little about the history of the rides especially BPB which is my main interest. Many many thanks for the video's and long may they continue. And when all this nonsense is under control, hopefully we can get back to whizzing, twisting about and going up up and dowwwn again! On rides that is!!!

I was lucky enough to grow up and become an enthusiast in the era of the Arrow looper being the premiere coaster. My first "big kid" coasters were Demon and Shockwave at Six Flags Great America (Shockwave > Vortex 4ever :D ) and I was also lucky to get to ride the first B&M coasters as they entered the scene. I do miss those giant Arrow coasters a bit, with their wonderfully janky transitions and their unique support designs (scaffolding and pillars, why not?).

Arrow created the corkscrew as a double inversion. It makes sense as half of the element doesn‘t resemble an actual corkscrew at all. I like to mention this when the first modern inverting rollercoasters come up. Nowadays it‘s known as a double corkscrew but there‘s a reason corkscrews often come in pairs and b&m calls them a flatspin.
@yourexperienceguide3 жыл бұрын
It’s not that usual to see a double corkscrew on loopers built by other manufacturers, not in the same way Arrow did it anyway. Vekoma obviously did it to a point when they worked with Arrow but the 90’s/00’s B&Ms tend to be interlocked. I’ve not done them all so can’t give a full assessment.
@ItsDannyRobbins Жыл бұрын
My biggest pet peeve with Arrow is that they always shaped the entry to the second corkscrew perfectly, but they couldn't figure how to do it for the entry to the first corkscrew? It's what makes me loathe arrow corkscrew models, with the exception of Tennessee Tornado.

My No.1 and No. 2 bucket list coasters are both Arrow Hypera, Magnum and Desperado. Arrow is also the best manufacturer in mu opinion (my opinions are strange)

Went to Buffalo Bill's Hotel and Casino back in 2004. Desperado looked awesome but wasn't running! I was gutted! I thought it was a strange place to put a hypercoaster to be honest! Looked out of place! Anyone who has been may confer? Only wish it would have been open! Looked awesome though!

@@yourexperienceguide Apparently Arrow Mine Train and Arrow Hyper Train apparently share same train design. It would be surreal if Hypercoaster version of Mine Train exist, like Phantom Revenge with minetrain train complete with locomotive car. I mean, let that sink in
@Mikeb10013 жыл бұрын
@@bocahdongo7769 The Hyper trains are indeed based on the Arrow mine train cars - the exception being Phantom's Revenge, which features cars based on the Arrow looping coaster chassis with modified bodywork by Morgan. There is a good reason why the Hypers have nose cones on the front rather than either the slab front (Gemini style) of the older mine trains or the locomotive front (El Diablo) of the newer ones, and that is quite simply aerodynamics. While dated now, the front of the hyper trains are definitely more aerodynamic, hugely important with the speeds in question and the added air resistance at higher speed
