It is mindblowing how Polynesian seafarers mastered navigation across the Pacific Ocean travelling thousands of miles discovering New Zealand, Hawaii and Rapa Nui.

The history of Easter Island is really interesting and a reminder of survival too. The island's income depends a lot on tourism and I think many locals (correct me if im wrong) have tried for years to become an independent nation from the Chilean government so it is important for them to find a way to preserve the Moai as much as they can.

They need a water desalination system on the island, I bet they could use wind power to power it, that or tidal wave power. Would be a great place to start.
@billyjean8057 Жыл бұрын
Well it would be great for them but at the same time it’s a island country they don’t really have the resources to put all the green energy and water desalination on the island. The water desalination alone would cost millions and millions of dollars

Are some of the EASTER ISLAND STATUES adorned with Kolpik or Shtreimel hats? Alexander Salmon Jr. Son of an English father and a Tahitian mother, was a Jew. His sister was the Queen of Tahiti. Alexander Salmon Jr. was the DE FACTO RULER EASTER ISLAND from 1878-1888. Alexander Salmon Jr. had godlike status on Easter Island, and had plantations there with over 700 indentured servants. The KOLPIK HATS remained on the Easter Island statues even after Salmon sold his holdings to Chile in 1888.

I loved this video from GMA. The info about the Moia statues and the history on them was so informative and I now know a lot more about it’s people and about the states meaning and why the people did them. It does make sense. God bless the Moia people and their habitat too. Climate change is very real and very deadly too. Sue M🙏. Also, Michael Strayhan is my favorite on GMA! Hugs to you always.❤️❤️

I know it’s hard to believe today, but Easter Island was a terrifyingly over populated island that fell to the egos & foolishness of opposing forces it’s lovely to see its forests and habitat being slowly restored as more visitors arrive to learn about the fate of such a stunningly uncontrolled prehistoric Industrial Age that almost cost them everything

If the Sphinx is older than Egypt says then the Easter Island Natives 🗿 🏝 and the Native American ancestors in Africa are related. And the Sphinx was originally created by the ancestors of those who left North Africa and the Richat Structure aka The Eye of the Sahara aka Atlantis well over 50,000 years ago.

Oh no. The climate is changing back to what it was when these mysterious people existed. The waters recede reveling what the water levels once were. Imagine telling these ancient people the climate was going to change thousands of years ago and cause the ocean to overtake their statues. They would have thought it to be nonsense. But here we are, perhaps going back to their “normal”.
