Nations Season Changes Nuke System Rework The past nuke system was like this, every president of their country got 1 Rocket Launcher and 100 Mini Nuke IIs. This was bad, this could have really badly been abused, also considering elections would be really complicated and annoying to set up. Now, your country will have to earn nukes, and nukes will not be given to the country leaders, but nuke passes will (this is subject to change). A nuke pass will be given to leaders that earn it and they are welcome to use it whenever they want. If it's to another nation or society, they may not unless the opposing nation has provoked war. When an nuke pass is used, a mod will use their rockets or bombs to nuke a certain place. New Addition to Nations: Realism This experiment is meant to replicate similar real-world conditions. Meaning the Constant seed will be on so we can have hunger. Adding to this, we will also have natural disasters. Random floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, meteors or just random made up events? We will have these to spice up the realism in this world. Random events can happen, such as famines, or other random things. Also, random loot chests will be placed around the map to help the random person that just happened to walk around the map. To make this more realistic, the hardmode section of the game will be disabled, however, you can still kill WoF. The Nation/PvP/Power System In order to actually receive nukes, you are going to need a powerful nation. You need at the minimum 4 people on your nation, must NOT have been beaten to many times, and your nation must be thriving with an actual base. All of this will make you receive power. Apart from this, instead of the old system, where mediumcore and PvP was on 24/7, complete mediumcore will be removed and PvP will have its days made for it. Nation Creation Unlike last time, you will not have to join a real-world country. You will be able to make your own. When you make a nation, you are automatically the leader, however, the people do have a right to overthrow you. Unlike last time, we will have a week preparation until the server resets for nations. It will be up, but it will be closed off. This gives you time to plan it out, or recruit people. You may (and should :)) advertise the server to friends, or you could advertise the server to people in Terraria's LFG channel. I think the daedalus stormbow nerf was done better than the nimbus rod nerf, because 1.2 nimbus rod was easily much better than 1.3 stormbow. If the nimbus 1.2 -> 1.3 nerf was similar to the daedalus 1.3 -> 1.4 nerf, it would still be even a viable weapon, but now, it is an even be out damaged by some late pre hardmode weapons.

Personally for me a better weapon to use against the destroyer has gotta be the dart gun with cursed darts I tested it out and the dart gun killed destroyer much quicker and did more DPS than the Daedalus with holy arrows. The dart gun with cursed darts is also more efficient for the reason that it excels in both single target and multi target damage, the cursed flames that rain down from the darts as well as the darts themselves are great against almost any enemy and takes me all the way through master mode Plantera. In short summary, for me Daedalus=overrarrated but still a good weapon and dart gun with cursed darts is much better

Ichor Darts with the Blowpipe is my go to weapon once I start hardmode, Everytime I shoot that thing with no ranger buffs, it usually 1-3 shots an enemy and I absolutely love every single second of it, I don't dump the dart weapons until like Solar Pillars since the dps they can do is just absolutely insane for just darts and I will always firmly believe darts are super underused and definitely deserve more attention than they get rn

fight the mimic in the ocean biome with a platfrom. Hit it once to trigger it, then go down so it chases you below the platform, and then just wait for it to jump up and hit it right under your feet. Make sure you dont move upward, or it'll reach the platform and hit you

Chlorophyte arrows are also effective to pair with Deadalus Stormbow. Maybe the second arrow to synchronized with Deadalus Stormbow for combat

dig diagonally when making biome mimic farms. That way they’ll jump over you instead of through you, then you can just move in the opposite direction and start kiting again. Takes a while to kill but is still possible with clockwork ar right after wall of flesh

One little tip you forgot to mention which actually makes the weapon good for even single target if the enemy isn't a tiny slime, is the Enchanted Quiver and the upgrade. It speeds up the arrow speed a lot, and makes it a lot easier to use.

Stormbow's just one of those things that'll always shred the big D unless they straight up change how it works, It's definitely the best mimic drop.

Stormbow used to be good from the point you get it all the way to the end of the game Now it's just good for up until golem (at most) and I think that is fair considering you can get it the first 30 minutes of hard mode

I fought about 8-15 Mimics and didn't got the Daedalus Stormbow that's why i used the Onyx Blaster against every Mech Boss and it worked really well

Adding on to the recommendation to kill the mimic with the onyx blaster, i found that pairing the blaster with some ichor bullets shreds the mimic in like 30 seconds.

Tecnically you can use it undergrouns to fight planterra or the golem but you need a lot of space to do so, it is actually a pretty good idea for the high dps of the weapon it makes very easily the defeat of plantera

Maybe the storm bow could be built to nerf holy arrows, like it dose a massive nerf to them, but other bows can use them like normal, or you could swap something like the rainbow gun with the storm bow, forcing it to be obtained later on.

Suprisingly, even with this weapon, it took me ages to beat calamity mod death mode destroyer. I guess that really shows how bad I am at the game even with so many other quality of life mods installed at that time (I beat the twins and skeleton prime before it :I). Chlorophyte shotbow+holy arrow is basically a horizontal Daedalus stormbow.

After 1.4.0, but before 1.4.1, the Adamantite or Titanium Repeater with Jester Arrows could outdo the Daedalus Stormbow versus the Destroyer...assuming you were willing to play chicken with it in a very long arena and fire into its head, hitting damn near every segment with every shot. The buff to attack speed of the repeaters, plus the lack of the 10% per-target piercing penalty added in 1.4.1 made it perfect. That was my favorite way to fight the Destroyer ever...and it only lasted a few months.

As the first time playing ranger, my greatest problem was learning ways to crowd control effectivelly. So the stormbow was used by me way past it dps effectiveness, just because it was one of the better options I got for dealing with crowds. I only dropped it when I got tsunami, wich is Very close to my standart mage playthrough, tbh, playing a lot of different weapons until I get a overpowered Duke drop.

daedalus with ichor arrows and crystal assassin armor helps a ton against premech duke. damage boosting accessories (quivers, ranger emblem) are good as well + potions. using the tsunami on the mechs is overpowered but fun

for pre mech fishron i just use orichalcum armor with daedalus+holy arrows, using the unicorn mount and star veil so i dont get one shotted

D Storm is not my go to against destroyer but that is because I'm a hardcore fallen star fan so I usually just end up getting the superstar shooter from the travelling merchant, it can take some rng for it to be available but it is worth it without a way to craft it on console

I once killed 13 mimics and didn’t get a stormbow, I did however get 8 illuminant hooks. I just went to a free item server and grabbed one after my 8th hook lol.

I mean it depends on the situation for me, since I tend to use a mix of Uzi, Dart Rifle, and Stormbow pre mech boss up until Plantera Uzi’s good for regular enemy crowd control and letting me do Twins with more focus on dodging, Dart Rifle and cursed/crystal darts is nuts against Skeletron Prime, and Stormbow is the main dps machine for Destroyer, although the either weapons help It’s amazing how three easy to get weapons are available pre mech boss and can remain viable until Plantera and possibly even after to a degree

I've actually barely used the Daedalus Stormbow. The one time I actually tried to get it for the Destroyer, I didn't get it and used the Crystal Vile Shard with a Mana Flower instead. Even when I DID get it, it was mostly just in a box, because it's a lot better to have concentrated damage instead of hit or miss.

Anyone who knows about Gromek’s Terreria Veteren series is aware of the carnage that can be unleashed from a Daedalus bow with chlorophyte arrows. Not saying it’s better as I have yet to test it but it is way more fun to watch.

i had serious trouble fighting the twins instead, especially because of spazmatism, you know, the one that constantly tries to douse you into cursed flames. at one point i resolved using the stormbow while locking myself into a dirt box. that was... suprisingly effective

After 1.4.01 but before 1.4.1, the buff to early hardmode repeaters made them broken for the Destroyer...more powerful than even pre-nerf Daedelus...assuming you were willing to face the Destroyer head-on and get it to charge horizontally at you...this allowed Jester's Arrows to hit every single segment for full damage...then the piercing projectiles nerf came in 1.4.1 and killed that strategy completely.

Just today I have killed over a hundred hallow mimics and about a dozen crimson mimics I used my whole stockpile of souls on keys and fought 7-8 at a time with terra blade

The way I see this the Stormbow is... You can use only up until you beaten the 3 mechanical bosses. And then switch to a Chloropythe Shotbow, then take out Duke Fishron for the Tsunami.

i spawned it with the chest and souls of light 10 times for absolutely nothing to drop, just to get the bow after killing one in the underground hollow a few minutes later

I personally agree with the holy arrow nerf. It wasn't just good on storm bow here, it was also good on literally any bow or crossbow that fired more then 1 arrow at once. The shotbow and tsunami are monsters with those arrows. Then again they are kind of monsters with other arrows too. Pro-tip if you are having a hard time with destroyer but are comfy taking on Duke fishron at this point and time, get the tsunami and a lot of unholy or jester arrows.

Uh the Blade staff and Sanguine staff are honestly so ridiculously good you can basically grab them at the start of hardmode and use them until the end of the game thanks to their insane abilities and virtually perfect AI

I think the end game bows are almost useless when sdmg and celebration oppressor mark 2 and it's griefer mini nuke 2 bomb exists. If we could get the orbital strike cannon bow it could be the next zenith. But my serious question is if the pulse bow and eventide are better than the phantasm.

i tired to use it once, it didn't work for me so i just used the magic harp because its goes through it and is slow so one not will hit like 3-5 segments, more if you're hitting it while its either coming at you or if your hitting it when it just popped out of the ground and went back in. and thats the story of how i beat terraria without once using an actually overpowerd weapon and while i did it all solo.

I'd say the best weapon vs destroyer probably still is the super star shooter. Could kill destroyer well before any weapon in its stage (except maybe Tsunami or Razorblade typhoon)

The best weapon to beat destroyer in my opinion is the pre-hardmode star cannon, just summon him and fire in that initial cluster of spawning segments, it will kill him in 20s
