The fact they made close up models shows the dedication of the crew wanting the best result. They didn’t have to have close ups, but they did. And the attention to detail is amazing. They don’t make shows like they used to.

"SNAP IT!" The way Michael Angelis always said that was pretty weird to me I guess just because of how deep the voice was for a single slate truck

The amount of trucks the incline railway can handle was inconsistent. In one episode, it was stated as four. In another, five were seen being pulled up. In yet another, seven were seen.

I can kinda see why TrainBoy loves the slate trucks so much. It's because we honestly don't see any other type of narrow gauge freight car props, with a few exceptions (vans, guard vans, gondolas, comflats, etc)
@MrJoeyWheeler
@MrJoeyWheeler 2 жыл бұрын
I've never enjoyed that bit with Duncan being pulled up the winch, mostly because the mechanics of the incline being a type of furnicular railway means that that entire interaction would be impossible - Furnicular railways require the use of gravity to move the stock up and down, which is explained when the incline is first shown - the heavy trucks are pulled down by gravity, and that energy pulls up the empty ones. In the clip, Duncan's very presence would prevent him being pulled up, because even a narrow gauge engine weighs several tons - and as a result, he would be so heavy that the slate trucks would be incapable of lifting him. Effectively, the incline would "stall" until Duncan was uncoupled.

Maybe you could do a video on the history of the narrow gauge passenger coaches as I think they have an interesting history as in the Railway series they are all painted two toned cream and blue but also all the coaches on the Skarloey railway had names in the Railway Series and that they were also a bogie variant as well and the TV series has a wide a range of narrow gauge coaches in different colours including the blue and cream ones along with some red coaches and cream and green coaches but the CGI series decided to go with coaches that share the same colours as their real life counterparts on the Talylyn Railway

Duncan go boom RIP (I know he's not dead, I was just going along with your in-joke). Could you talk about the history of Scruffey? I know in Toad Stands By he and the other trucks offended Oliver after his fall in the turntable well and he got ripped apart. But in the books he was scrapped and in the show they reconstructed him. Did anyone notice in the show he was the same truck with a scratched eye in Oliver Owns Up who wanted Donald to pull the rake of coal trucks? He was basically just another Season 1 truck. You can tell due to the railing above the face
