If he had returned to CGI alongside Sir Handel and Peter Sam in that bad episode, I don't think it would have been a great comeback... SPECIALLY in The Nitrogen/Miller era, remember how bad the 15 is?(looking the Bad returning of Wiff e Trevor in the S14 and S15 for example). In my opinion it would have been 100 times better if they had dropped the idea of having Duke come back and have him work at Ufsteld Castel during the S17 and King of The Railway, then yeah... have him go back to the Brenner era S17-S21.

I grew up with rusty to the rescue dvd definitely one of my favorites was always watching the 2 part duke the lost engine. I loved those two episodes out of the whole disc with its comfy atmosphere, music, sets, and all in wonder. thank you for the great episode and keep up the great work.

Fun Fact I've seen the Real life Palmerston engine dressed as Duke back in 2007 at york. Duke is another favourite character of mine I love his episodes in Season 4, Stories in the Books and his toys. Even though he's forgotten by the show I'm happy that the SIF team did ERS Stories about him which I really love to listen to.

I have done memories of driving down to Bayou Meto Arkansas when I was younger watching Thomas and Magic Railroad and the Rusty to the rescue DVD were my two favorite things to watch on my way down there, hence Duke was one of my favorite characters. :)

Out of all the narrow gauge engines duke is one of my most favorite engines alongside, Duncan, Peter Sam, & skarloey! I agree with basically all of what you said about him in this video and these facts of his model helped me understand why he wasn’t in future seasons ever since he appeared in the forth season of Thomas and friends the tv series! But they railway series book series is another story. But anyways good video by the way. 😊👏
