i have found this very interesting julie. i have walked past that same house a lot and often thought that it stands out very prominatley on north view. and i never knew that wallsend even had a roller rink. its a shame that the rink closed down long before the birth of skateboarding as a hobby/sport. this could have technically been wallsends very first skate spot if it was used by anyone on a board back then.

An interesting subject. Maybe I'm wrong but seem to recollect that Stockhills removals (green liveried wagons) had a yard on or close to the stadium?

Their house was right beside it, you can just see a little bit of it, left hand corner, in the first photo. So yes they did have something on the green connected to their business
