Personally, I think the Weapons-grade Cybermen get a bad wrap. I've heard people complain that they aren't really human enough any more to properly fit with the original idea of the Cybermen. However, the way I see it, it actually makes perfect sense as part of their evolution. The original idea behind the Cybermen was that they would replace their body parts with cybernetics as they lost function. So, wouldn't it make sense for them to replace their old cybernetics with newer more advanced ones as they were invented? In the end, the Cybermen are a case of the ship of Theseus, with the caveat that instead of replacing parts with exact copies, they are replacing the boards of their trireme with the metal hull of a modern destroyer. Also, their designs, and the voice used are awesome and intimidating.

I think the main "legitimate" complaint in my eyes is that they look too much like plastic. When you go from the Cybus Model that looks very much like metal to these, it's quite a difference. But the voice and overall design is amazing.

Would've been great to see an in between model between cybus and thjs one, it's rumoured the cybermen in "cyber reality" were that type As for TV, Ashad is as close as well probably get and he looks way better than the weapons grade ones

Honestly, hated this design, and very glad new versions are coming out. I hope they ditch the "adaptation" thing, and go back to classic cyber behaviors. If I had to design a "modern" cyber design, I'd put a cyber warrior head on a cybus industries torso. The cybus torso is so HEFTY and mechanical, it feels like it actually contains full life support systems, power supply, and actuators. The cyber warrior head is the ideal fusion between the classic headpiece designs, and the modern variants. Plus, frankly, the original cybus head is too small for the body - and the cyber warrior body is too small for its head. Their proportions would match much better.

I've always enjoyed and feared the hint of humanity in the cybermen but these generations i never really liked cause their too robotic and not as horrific

Yeah Cybermen more recently have lost their organic side, only real exception was when the Mondasians came back and sort of Ashad

Doesn't that just make them too much like the Borg? They can just upgrade until an attack no longer affects them like Borg shields. I like them better when you can see the flesh, makes them more body horror and less killer robots.

Yeah these are probably the biggest diversion from the original concept (if you don’t count when they just became Robots), World Enough and Time / The Doctor Falls really brought it back
