So they call it his last stand before he reappears having defeated the Ork warboss in single combat. He hates that the name has stuck, but still decided to have his next desperate last stand, when he defended the planet from a chaos invasion assisted only by a handful of old teachers and half a dozen commissarial cadets, at the exact same site. That, by the way is how the universe sees him, his own view on the stories in question are a lot less positive.
