While this is a plausible theory, I’m pretty sure you are in the minority. The most common belief is usually that life came from a process of a biogenesis out of materials that were already here, not counting the water, obviously. My problem with the explanation that life started as bacteria which came from somewhere else is that it doesn’t really answer the question at all, it just avoids, getting into the interesting parts of the question and still doesn’t explain how those cells came to be

That's what research and theories are about. Nobody knows where the "starter kit" came from. That's what we know for the time being. Overly religious people have their answer for everything in their belief. Mind the "overly". There's also the branch of religious people, most likely across all religions, who hold on to their belief, but will accept science (although it boils down to "god created science", but still better than fighting things like evolution, which humans have witnessed) So.. Will we ever know for sure where that "starter kit" came from? Not necessarily. But given the fact, that if something has the chance to happen, it will happen, just by math a lone, the possibility is above zero. Gonna be fun if the overly religious people turn out to be right, and everyone else burns, because we questioned things

My concept on what is and isn't has been totally shattered since I heard the "fish don't exist" concept. Where's the line between mudskipper esk fish to amphibian? Are we not just hyperspecialized fish? Or is everything a derived worm?
