i don't really care what anyone believes in as long as it makes them want to become better people, i wouldn't say i believe in god, certainly not the god the church believes in, i even struggle to call it "god" because of the many uncomfortable things ive associated it with, i think some people would use the word agnostic to describe me, maybe? idk, i too really like talking about this type of topic in a friendly manner, it's always interesting ^^

In case you weren't aware. You know the metric system and how it makes things have one standard(except for the US)? Well, not a thing in the past. Napolgeon conquering a lot of European territory was the one that saw this issue and decided to try and fix it to make things like taxing easier. Because of this the Italian Columbus thought the world was much smaller than it was(even though we knew the size of the world since the damn ancient Greecs but Columbus thought he knew better /eyeroll). So most educated people understood that sailing to Japan just wasn't really feasible but Columbus thought he knew better. He believed the Earth was smaller than it actually was. He was incredibly lucky that the Americas were there and probably even that the Atlantic is smaller than the Pacific ocean. Otherwise they wouldn't have made it. The opening was just a description of the big bang. Initially there was no space, no change in state or place. Therefore there was also no time. So that's why he opens with there not even being a "when". If you want a mindfuck learn about what time is. It's really fucking weird. Our GPS satilites have to adjust their time each day because time up there moves I think it was slower than it does down here. It's tied to both gravity and speed how fast time moves. And lol at the religious shit.

its so surreal to see my country be close to very first human civilizations. Also if youre still curious Loui, yes, alexander was pretty successful but while conquering Persia he burned all the books and libraries, destroying so much history, culture, art, litreture and science. him and then arabs conquering Iran and doing the same cause the only acceptable book was Quran in their opinion, led to very little science , knowledge of history and science left from those times. i mean it was war and war is war but its still sad how much destruction it brings and its still happening to this day.

still watched the second vid with you cause it's still interesting even tho i don't believe in it. i'm glad for what you said at the end "the bible is written by men" cause that shows a more nuanced belief that's a lot less toxic than the folks who believe in every single word mindlessly, and that's a trait i've seen from you a lot: you always take the time to make your own mind and i admire that a lot about you. keep doing your thing man 💜

This is why so many people are annoyed by hyper-religious people. "Should we create something fun and original to teach people about our faith?" "Na, let's just make a lame copy of this thing this secular person did." "Should we consult any biblical scholars before we publish it?" "Na. Nobody reads that book anyway. Most people don't even realize that the old testament is almost 80% polytheist." 😂😂
