Nothing happens without our labor. We have power.

Watching this in 2022 hurts after years of many corporations paying between 0% and 4%. $60k for a family of four is scraping by. Teachers make less than this what the hell are we doing?!

Unions, labor, and yes, socialists and communists, helped bring labor law into a humane place by the 50s. A lot of work and sacrifice to achieve those ends. It's a shame that our two party system has been undercutting this progress since the 80s.

They've been undercutting it since day 1.

We buy things that used to be made in USA from China. If the labor unions want their rights, they have to compete with Chinese labor first, because labor jobs unfortunately are replaceable in globalization. If unions want to protect the labor fair income, they have to keep the jobs within US.

Many countries forbid outsourcing in order to protect their own economy. We don't need to compete we need to act affirmatively in the interests of the American people.

Family Leave is paying people not to work.

Darius Thurman that’s what you got out of this?! Actually, family leave is ensuring a workers life doesn’t fall apart and doesn’t lose everything while they tend to an emergency situation with their family.

My boss lost her parents in a car accident a few months back, upper management didn't allow her leave just to handle the funeral or to grieve...she inturn, left the company for a better one. One of the most productive workers they had, lost, because they couldn't bother to giver her five days to handle an unexpected tragedy. A family emergency is something that all human beings will be affected by at some point in their lives. If you force your workers to work during such times, productivity will drop tremendously. You also increase the likelihood of trained employees from leaving. Besides, our whole economy is dependent on people having children to supply the future workforce that corporations will extract labor from. It is an investment that will pay off ten fold if we gave everyone a couple extra weeks out of the year...
