..the AI never "overtalks" over the "other"..it uses the small pauses.. makes it more believable.. But i learned something.. i would use red..

Too polite but I don't know about ( 5:07) "higher screen resolution a clearer fart" going to have to think about that error

Good catch. I didn’t hear it when I was listening.

Wrong, Windows 1.x/2.x does have a blue screen of sort, tough it's only blue, because the startup screen is blue. It only occurs on startup and you know it crashed when it shows random DOS characters on screen.
@LangleyNA4 ай бұрын
I was thrown off by this, too. I’ve used WINDOWS 1.x a fair bit, and I know it to output garbled streams of characters on a bold blue EGA fill screen, in the same sort of way later systems have.

Watching/listening at 2.5x makes the voices actually sound more realistic. "Em Eye Pea Ess" gave it away for me ... either that or the hosts are very non-technical. Yes, I knew this was all generated. I would be interested to see a "making of" video where Dave shows/talks about exactly what he fed into it. The output is pretty impressive.

Brings back memories of WinDBG over serial links coupled to the faulting system, along with incredibly tedious PCI bus tracing (with a third system to capture the output of the tracing card)to find the underlying trigger. A particularly nasty driver bug that would manifest in the interrupt handler at high data rates which "magically fixed itself" when I added a bit of logging code to dump errors in a way that would let me trace back on a non-lab system, since it was very hard to induce on the lab system (which couldn't cope with the the highest data rates on the card we were designing/building). Never failed again even at the highest rates the hardware could cope with and as far as I know never failed in actual use by the customer, at least I never got a report of a blue screen.

It was 100% convincing for me, Dave. NO MISTAKE. I thought you re-uploading with permission something from a channel/podcast called _”VEED.”_

I admit I listened at 3’ distance on an iPhone 14 Pro Max at half volume. No audible artifacts to me in a casual listen like this.

While I love AI, this feels weird, especially from your channel :)

This is the same AI recently noted in the media, and someone revealed to the AI that they were not real.

Reminds me of "Words Unraveled" youtube channel. It needs some polishing but still very good.

Was that AI generated? Huh. The only thing that really stood out to me was at some stage in the middle, the male and female voices witched roles from her telling the story and him eagly waiting to hear the story, to him telling and her waiting. [Huh is not HMPH but a "Well whadaya know!"] P.S. I already knew the story as that was the first video I ever watched on the Garage channel, which was enough to convince me to like and subscribe.

Their voice is too perfect also they don't take time to "process" what the othe host just said almost like they are the same being through 2 different voices. The conversation sounds too scripted to feel like a podcast
@jimbeckettplay4 ай бұрын
I'd much rather listen to a real person like you. I didn't realize it was AI until I looked at the comments. When I was listening, it felt scripted, and the voices didn't seem serious/confident/authoritative enough. I can't quite put my finger on why, but it didn't seem like something I'd want to listen to for long.

How can the bsod every be fun i remember win 98 constant bsod and the hours it would take to rebuild just because of a graphic driver error. It was always easier to reinstall windows that to try and repair bearing in mind that everything was on a cd and the internet was dial up 56k modem speed. I am glad that they eventally fixed windows and i am talking win 7 so no more bsod mostly.

Seemed more like a scripted radio show, like what you would hear on NPR, than a podcast. Definitely prefer to hear Dave but this tool could be useful if production falls behind schedule.

Definitely Noteboklm. Aside that its an amazing AI that is almost impossible to tell, I do not like it for this specific content. Describing facts I prefer 1 person going through bullet points. A conversation and a discussion to describe the history of the BSoD feels 2 verbose trying to prolong the topic for the sick of it. Its like having to go to a meeting for something than can be explained in an email. So, for facts I do not like this conversational podcast format. For discussing opinions and points of views I think this format would be perfect.

This jumping to each other sentences is so annoying to me. It doesn't have anything to do with AI, it is just how new generation is talking. There is no dialog culture any more. I guess root is in cell phone talks when cell phones were not reliable as they are now. So there could be case that you are talking talking without realizing that call has dropped. So other side had to give feedback all the time that they are hearing you talking. But it is soooo annoying. Bring the culture of dialog back, don't destroy it even more, please Google!

I assumed it was a carry on from BIOS screens when DOS crashed it went blue, so assumed it carried on but got lighter blue Cos a crash in dos is like going into bios, Something needs to be fixed
@ScottyBrockway4 ай бұрын
I noticed immediately and found it annoying because there is no noise or compression artifacts and the speakers are way too courteous to the other which is not how people tend to communicate IRL, it's off putting without the usual thinking pauses people tend to have or the overrunning of the other when they think their thoughts need to interject. The content is fine and listenable but I'd rather have it from real people. From a musician on the spectrum.
