I pre-ordered the deluxe edition the morning it was announced off orbit dvd. This is gonna be worth the wait. Second Sight does not cut any corners, and that's why their the best all around complete package. Picture quality, audio, and packaging.

Hi Richard, I'm sorry to hear about the hurricane. Hope you can get back to normal soon. I've had to deal with power loss during blizzards and it is never fun. Surprising about The Hitcher blu being region free as well. I wonder if this means no US release will be coming...

Thank you! It has been a little slow getting back to normal. Some areas were still without power even longer. Luckily I think things are almost normal again. I so feel for you with blizzards. When I lived in Chicago I went through several of the bad ones including the one that felt like buried the city. I guess no matter when you go there is always some weather condition to worry about. Great point on the region free Blu-ray for The Hitcher! I wonder if that does in fact mean no US release planned for now. Thankfully we can all get it without worry of region locking.

Thank you! I did the same thing. As soon as my internet was back on I ordered my copy right away. I do that with movies as well when I know a new release is coming. Even if I really want to watch it I will wait until that new copy comes in.

So glad to hear you are okay, Richard. Luckily the storm completely missed us. I have family in Corpus, and in Houston. Thankfully none were injured. The Houston residents are still struggling with power issues. Amazingly our grid didn't fail. Our city sent quite a lot of first responders and CPS electrical staff to help repair all the downed lines in Houston and other places. Stay safe! Also make sure to get your covid booster!

Really happy you did not get hit by the storm! It was a scary one. I wasn't originally supposed to get it but then it swung late Sunday and I was in the direct path. I am lucky I didn't have the damage so many others do but it was a long week and scary barely being able to get information. At least for now all is good!

I actually went and pre-ordered the limited set on the day it went live! I love this film to death! Wish the one liner ”I want you to stop me” had been on a poster and included. But… Still so happy! As soon as I could I got my order in for The Hitcher. One of the first things I did when my internet came back on. I also got the limited edition. I can't wait for this!

I want to get the hitcher on 4K UHD. I remember seeing it in the movie theater back in early 1986. It looked awesome seeing it on a big movie screen shot in Panavision 2:40.1.

That sucks. A few years ago Hurricane Ida pretty much came straight for us here and besides the extensive roof damage, there was no electricity from August 29th to September 10th - the day after my 40th birthday. It's a whole different world when you're existing in that state and I'm not doing it ever again. There's a reason the population of the South was TREMENDOUSLY lower prior to the wide availability of air conditioning.

Oh man. That is scary. I can't even imagine being out of power that long. My sister has lived here longer and has been through a few of these hurricanes before. Ida might have even been the first after she moved here. I need to ask her. I've had a few bad ones since I moved here but this was the worst. I moved down here just after Harvey. Maybe that should have given me an idea of things to come.

Thank goodness you are ok! I live outside of Houston. Originally I was only going to get the outskirt of the storm but then it shifted more east that Sunday night and I got hit with the full eye of the hurricane.

It doesn't seem that long ago that I got the German media book. That one has some blown out highlights if I remember correctly. It also has a commentary and I'm wondering if this one has ported it over.

That is a good question about the commentary track. It does port over (it looks like) two previous commentaries so that might be one of them. I can't wait for this to come in. It really feels like forever since this was first announced until now. Just over two months to go!

Oh wow! That is so scary. Happy you are doing ok! Mine finally came back on Friday night so it was out for about 5 days. The thing that really was tough was not having internet. I didn't even have a cell signal most of the week so I couldn't even check for emergency updates. That was almost scarier than the storm just not knowing anything.
