Maybe in 2025 for the 45th anniversary release of the original film Paramount could do something special. Maybe "Paramount Scares Volume 3" Will just be an epic set of the first 4 Friday the 13th Films in 4K?

I have not dealt with Arrow much. I am interested in the Demolition Man 4K but I don't care about all the extras, just the movie. Will Arrow release this as just a disc later or does limited edition mean it will be gone for good once sold out regardless of edition?

SEAMLESS BRANCHING allows you to have different cuts of a film without having to have the entire film multiple times. So instead of having 2 cuts encoded twice (and wasting valuable disc space for quality) - You only have one main film- and the extra scenes that make up the second cut are seamleesly branched into the first cut.

Talk about a massive disappointment with the Critters box set. Wow. Such a bummer because that thing looks amazing. The other box set from a few years ago was very lackluster.

The Good, The Bad and The Weird is great, will be picking that one up

Darn it! I just pre-ordered The Hitcher (the UK standard release) 3 days ago from Diabolik. I didn't want the Limited Edition because I don't have no use for the extra materials, which I can do without. I can't cancel it for a refund because, Diabolik doesn't give cash refunds, only a store credit which I don't want. So, I might as well keep the pre-order.

Bug is imo among a group of films only worth seeing once. I really don't see the value in rewatches. Now Hitcher....that's replayable absolutely.

Man we're getting to the end of the year and still no announcement from Grindhouse Releasing for Cannibal Holocaust 4K, Cannibal Ferox 4K and The Beyond 4K.🤔 I'm scared that they lost the rights and now some other studio will get them. I bought 'The Hitcher' on a used VHS a few years ago for a dollar from a local thrift store and although I like the movie, it's not really necessary for me to own in 4K. I only buy 4Ks sparingly anyway (if they're cheap or if the movies are classic or epic) and for certain movies in my collection, either a VHS will suffice or the DVD or Blu-ray I already have is good enough. Still, for those unfamiliar with 'The Hitcher', I hope they'll enjoy it. :)

In Demolition Man, Sandra Bullock's character said taco bell won the franchise wars and all fast food places are now taco bell. In Europe, there is no taco bell so they used pizza hut instead. Thats the only difference between the 2 cuts.

I actually own the Panasonic you be 9000 and it’s a fantastic DVD player! When I bought the Panasonic, I went ahead and bought a Sony master series A90J big screen television. And I went ahead and bought the Sonos premium but Sonos premium sound bar along with the Sonos premium subwoofer along with Sonos fives! All I can say is wow!!😀

Wow. Did I not ever wind up finishing and posting my answers to the questions again? The first Friday The 13th movie I saw was The New Blood when I was 9 or 10. My favorite kill is also that of the late, great Steve Dash, that being Mark's death in Part 2. It's so disrespectful, elaborate and cool overall, it just stands out from all the others to me. Part 3 and The Final Chapter are tied for my favorite Jason death. I think maybe Harold Hockett is my favorite victim character, and I have a theory about Part 3 according to which Chris's parents had gathered people together to form a search party when Chris disappeared into the woods, and they were already very close to where she was behind a tree, but when she began screaming as Jason attacked her, they all quickly showed up and ran Jason off, perhaps even injuring him before he could escape, with the Hocketts having been part of that search party and that, in addition to the fact that he knew he could get food and clothes, etc. there, being why Jason chose to make his presence known at their store and kill them right when a country store of the time would likely be closing. I think Ginny is my favorite final girl, and a big reason why is that, realistically and therefore politically incorrectly, when she begins to be pursued by a killer, counterbalancing the view of her as educated and intelligent that the movie has clearly deliberately created, she goes about attacking Jason with a chainsaw and a chair, kicking him you-know-where, etc., leaving no real discernible distinction in that respect between she and a child, up until they, of course, have her momentarily neutralize Jason with child psychology, only for that to fail eventually as well, resorting to more extreme violence to vanquish Jason temporarily. I think Part 3 is possibly the most underrated. People's opinion of other movies in the franchise is very low, but deservedly so, except in the case of Part 5, though I can understand why people who went to see it in a theater in the '80s were not only disappointed by angered, because they don't show the hockey mask at all on the killer until the last 20 minutes or so, and do so in a way that reinforces the impression that the killer has been revealed to actually be Jason, only to reveal shortly afterward that it isn't. I don't know which one is my favorite score. I like the element that I think is unique to Part 3 of what the violins do when the lights begin blinking after Chuck's death, and The Final Chapter seems to have some things specific to itself that I like as well, all of this being complemented, to say the least, by the elements of the original score within them. The New Blood is surely still the one I've seen the most, having first seen it while living in a motel in New Orleans where it was on the motel's movie channel, and besides that, I gained access to the video tape of it. This may not be all that impressive to most people who have been collecting Friday The 13th stuff for decades, given that they had the opportunity to get one while he was alive, but my hockey mask signed by Richard Brooker (which I have yet to get authenticated) is, I believe, my favorite collectible and that might have something to do with the fact that... ...Part 3 is my favorite movie in the franchise, as I have surely mentioned many times before.

Jaws the Revenge has no AI issues on the 4K lol it looks great although they have edited out some bits where you used to see the mechanics of the shark lol

Actually I've seen them all in order, I'm that old. I was 13 when the first one came out. Watched it at a Halloween sleepover on cable ONTV, which would later become HBO. All the rest have been in theaters.

Lol As I always ljke a bit of humour in my movies the kill in the RV in part 6 is one fav kill. Was so unexpected to see the shape of a face in the RV:s side when Jason smashes the head into the wall. Fun! Also the first film where Kevin Bacon gets it laying on a bed. Classic! Read about that scene in a swedish film magazine. Was a mistake with a small hose that added to that scenes realism. Lol Cheers!

As far as supporting character or characters, I liked most, the Doublemint Twins in the Final Chapter I enjoyed. I also love Alice Cooper’s “He’s Back”, it's such a great song. OK, here we go buddy! First off little known fact about me when I was about three or four years old, I got a nick on my forehead exactly like that and my older brother told my mom I got it because he broke a bottle outside and a piece of glass flew up and hit me. Truth was, my brother was outside with his friends and he had an AXE 🪓 😳and he swung it towards a tree to stick it into the tree, and I walked forward as he was doing it (like I said I was like 3 or 4, he was about 12) But he nicked his little brother in the forehead and damn near killed him. True story! First Friday the 13th I ever saw was part VI in late 85 early 86 or so. I ended up renting the other ones at a later time shortly before Jason Lives was released. I was only about 9 years old. Yes, I’m that old haha 🤷🏻‍♂️ I love part 3 also by the way it’s my number three ranking in the entire franchise for me. Choosing a favourite kill is a toughy. I agree Rob‘s death in part four was chilling. That was actually a very scary death so I’m with you there as that stuck with me “he’s killing me”. I was also a fan of the triple beheading in Jason Lives that got so badly edited unfortunately. I wish we could’ve seen that in all of its glory because I think it would’ve been really magnificent. The other one that stands out for me is the liquid nitrogen kill from Jason X one of the only highlights of that movie for me lol but that was very cool to see. And who didn’t love that kill from Jason goes to hell at the beginning because that was quite a scene lol 😳👍 excellent choices Richard. Hands-down, the coolest way Jason gets killed is the final chapter. I don’t know how I could pick any other one that was just awesome with Corey Feldman. As for favourite victims, excellent choice again Jimmy and Ted are by far my favorites. They were entertaining and fun, that storyline was hilarious. I love how he punched it into the computer, which funny enough, is still something we would probably do today but for real haha As for my favourite final girl, I have to go with Jennifer Cook a.k.a. Megan from Jason Lives. Not that she played a big role in Jason‘s demise or anything, but I just crushed on her hard back then I thought she was so cute and those black jeans she’s wearing in the first scene when she meets Tommy 😳👍 Just such a cutie and she was such a fun, playful character that seemed like the girlfriend of my dreams. I also by far love Thom Matthews as Tommy Jarvis in part 6 for sure, my favourite hero character. He was so great in that movie and I was a big fan from ROLTD as well. Most underrated Friday I completely agree with you here as well, I would definitely pick part 5 also. I feel it’s a movie that is still getting crapped on to this day and I feel like it has every good thing about a Friday the 13th movie in it. If people could get past the fact that it’s not Jason, I really think they would enjoy it an awful lot more. It had humour and had good kills, had the important B’s of slasher flicks back then lol. It also had some scariness and it was a lot of fun. Yes part 5 is the most underrated in my opinion too. By the way, if anybody is celebrating Friday the 13th with us here, I’m quite certain they’ve seen most of these films so I’m not too worried about spoilers haha Favourite score I’m gonna go part 4 and part 6 those are the ones I listen to the most. I have them on vinyl as well and they’re great. Harry Manfredini is awesome. I also enjoy his House score. And hell yeah part 3 and it’s cheesiness disco whistley theme lol I love that as well it’s great. But I’m gonna go 4 and 6 there. Alice Cooper‘s man behind the mask still gets lots of play for me. It’s great. I like a handful of his tracks and that’s definitely one of my favorites. They actually have it in the video game as well for the credits, which, by the way, you should really play that before they permanently discontinue it in December. Because after that you’re gonna have to know people that own the game and do private matches in order to play it. I’m right here btw if you ever want to try lol 🙋🏻‍♂️ Which one I’ve watched the most is probably Jason lives or possibly the final chapter. I would say Jason lives, but I just watched the final chapter last night again and I really don’t know which one I’ve seen more but they are close. As for my favourite Friday the 13th collectable, man I love them all I really do, but I would have to say probably my final chapter Crash Cunningham mask. I have a part 6 mask that is very well done by an artist named Tony Jarvis. I’m impressed with that mask because it looks great but when I got my part 4 shower scene from Crash Cunningham, I understood the level of detail and how unbelievable it looks. The detail on it is incredible, the intricate scratches are right where they need to be, the finish is just perfect. I would have to go with that mask it’s a cherished one. Your posters are awesome. I wish I had the space for them, but there’s only so much room in my small area for a bunch of 27 x 40 sized one sheets but great job buddy 👍 OK lastly as for my favourite film, I did a very long 30 min ranking breakdown vid a while back (not a lot of folks watched because it’s way too long 😁🤷🏻‍♂️ So it’s always between 4 and 6 because they are both so great and they were the most important ones for me growing up in that era that stuck so hard. If I absolutely had to choose, I would probably take Jason Lives as 1A and The Final Chapter as 1B. You asked for what’s the most personal to you and I would say 6 was the biggest deal for me because it was the first new Friday the 13th film to come out in theatres when I actually knew what the franchise was and who Jason Voorhees was. So it was very exciting. I was 10 years old at the time (yep like I said I’m old!) and wishing I could see it in theatres but knowing there was no chance, I had to wait for video, but it did not disappoint. This is also why they are my 2 choices for cosplaying Jason Voorhees. This was a lot of fun Richard. It’s a great idea. It would be fun to chat with you about this kind of stuff one day. Normally every Friday The 13th I watch all the films but today didn't go as planned. First my main fan stopped working and I spent some time to get it to work and failed. Will take it to Walmart on Monday. Then I spent like 3 hours trying to update my email which I haven't used since before the pandemic. Then a neighbor who doesn't speak English needed help twice with some translations. Well it was to late to begin the Friday films so I just watched other horror movies instead. I asked my parents to drop me off at the movie theater. I didn't tell them I was going to see The Final Chapter. It was a double feature with Venom (1981) being the first. The theater people let me see Venom if I promised to leave and not stay for Friday the Thirteenth wink, wink. Everybody was there for Jason. Anyway, Venom ran long and as part 4 started with the recap of the other 3 movies my parents came in looking for me and found me squeezed down in a chair near the front and ended up watching the movie with me.

It would be cool to see you do a franchise breakdown series with some of the horror franchises out there. Obviously franchises like Friday The 13th, Halloween, Elm Street would be quite long, but I would definitely be down to hear your thoughts as you go through each film!

I barely made the age restriction though back then they let us in without really checking ages very much. Agreed. Disturbing. Tom Savini really shows his special effects skills in the series of movies. Totally agree on Adrianne King. I remember being bummed by what happens in the next movie. It does feel like it could have come earlier in the series of films. I have a couple of tracks on some horror compilations. Surprisingly good stuff. Several places are selling the digital copies for $13 as a set. I had some discs and last year picked up a digital set of almost all the films. Mine would probably be the first film.
