When I moved from Germany to Portugal I had to downsize to a quarter of my belongings. Had only 6 months to do so in my free time. Was a lot of work but I managed to sell most of it on Ebay or to neighbours and friends. When the rest of my stuff arrived in Portugal and I opened the boxes I realised that half of it I did not really need any longer...😂😂😂 Simplifie your life... you just don't NEED all the stuff for to live happily ever after...😊❤

I think some of these people need the warehouse treatment. Take everything out of their homes and put it in a warehouse so they can really see just how much they have. It helps them to come to terms with the enormity of their hoarding. Then they can only keep what can fit into an allocated space.

My In-laws were "collectors" and when she died they had a 2-day auction to sell all of the items, so he could go to a nursing home, but their house was spotless clean and although it was "full" everything was organized. Most "Hoarders" really have only junk, so I'm surprised he's even finding any collectables he can sell.

So they alone sold for 1100 pounds of stuffs, and Curtis got back with like150 pounds.... I dont understand this show, Curtis is useless and the 1 or 2 items he manages to sell, he does it for way too cheap, and the cleaning professionals actually just tell people "you should throw away the things you dont want anymore" ... Thats just useless

when he sold the mermaid i think that it and that cage that was behind him in the yard with a little rock pond and seating area around it in the back yard would be beautiful.. i wish she could have had something like that and kept it.. i am sure it was hard for her to part with
