Made in 1952 and produced by the legendary Dore Shary, THE HOAXSTERS is an American documentary film written by Herman Hoffman, about the threat posed by communism to the American way of life. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The film compares Hitler and Mussolini to a carnival barker and a snake oil salesman, and connects their outrageous talk to that of the Bolsheviks, in particular Josef Stalin.
The film includes the voices of Marilyn Erskine, Howard Keel,
George Murphy, Walter Pidgeon, Dore Schary, Barry Sullivan, Robert Taylor, James Whitmore and Sidney Tomack as the Snake Oil Salesman.

Whitmore was a favorite of Dore Schary's when he was running MGM.

Well, as a person who actually used to live in communism (although the ending stage of it, pure shadow od the Stalin horrors) I can wholly agree with the film. I'd only add, that it omits total economic inefficiency of the communist (=central planning + state capitalism) system, which is prone to chronic shortages and impoverishes its own citizens. To compare Obama, democrats or EU to communism is to insult the tens of millions of communist regimes victims, to spit on their graves. You want to experience communism? Go visit the North Korea. Surely you will be shown the best of the regime, the capital city, but I think you will get the feeling anyway.

As Fascists Today sneak in the backdoor and try and take over any proud of one's country groups/movement, Communists today sneak in the backdoor and try and take over Socialist groups/movements, where many environmental or civil rights groups like BLM have become Marxist/Leninists Anti-Capitalist movements hiding behind such groups/movements original agendas

This film is what should have been shown to communist sympathizers in the 1950's and today, as it even makes a slight against self serving social justice warrior Joseph McCarthy types who, like SS SJWs today, did/do far, far, far more harm than good
