Small update: After roughly 6 weeks of continuous practice, my son is now able to play the piece fluently. The main challenge was to add more rhythms by hitting the strings and the guitar body. A technique, my son never tried before and in some cases the hitting was combined with playing a note at the same time. 😮 But he kept going and can be really proud of the result now. Still a lot to learn, like using different levels of intensity and changing speed depending on the feeling to be expressed. But hey, at 11 years it is just cool to see, what he is capable of achieving with dedication and patience. (ok, throughout the journey he sometimes wanted to throw the guitar out of the window 😊)

My son is 11 and goes to a special music high school here in Germany, where he has classical guitar as major. After watching the Hobbit, he really wanted to learn the misty mountain theme. We are so glad that we found this gorgeous rendition and you even offer the sheet music. He is so glad, since he can't read tabs but only sheet music. It will be a great theme for the next guitar exam. Thanks a lot for your outstanding version.

He plays indeed very good but I think the melody notes could me more accentuated to differentiate it more from the harmony / bass. For me the playing is somehow a little bit to static and too even.
