The second trailer for Desolation of Smaug came out on October first and at the end of it they had Smaug speak it was the best voice of Smaug ever. Benedict Cumberbatch was perfectly cast as Smaug

You shouldn't rely on the shoddy movies for reliable info. They fucked up so much. But yes. Thorin wanted The Arkenstone. However, Bilbo found it first and decided to keep because he didn't know if he could trust the dwarves. He later used it as a bargaining chip in The Great Battle to gain refuge and protection from the elves.

In the Hobbit films, nobody knows about Bilbo finding and obtaining the one ring. Not even the animated movie he didn't share the secret of ring to anyone. The cutscene had one of the dwarves mentioning the ring's power to Bilbo which totally against the lore.

In my opinion they only know about the ring in order to give the player instructions. It was a kids game. So you need to know when to use what. The dwarves "know" only because the makers of the game wanted to help you with tips to proceed.

Okay, this game went WAY too far towards the silly end. Despite claims of being a lighthearted kids story, the Hobbit got far more serious once Smaug entered the plot and was actually completely humorless until Biblo returned to the Shire. This almost makes his meeting with Biblo look like something out of Loony Tunes.
