Stayed there with my Girl Scout troop on a trip to St Louis (from Memphis) back in 1989 - it’s DEFINITELY been through some remodels since then, but that pool was absolutely memorable to experience as an ‘80s kid.

Fun video! I stayed there in 2000 or 2001 when it was a Ramada. At that time, I was confident it was surely once a former Holiday Inn holidome that was sold off. Interesting Holiday Inn bought it back! I have video from that trip too.. I need to rewatch to confirm!

Holiday Inns in South Carolina weren't like this. I like the shiny brick tile floor, the 80's decor, the Holidome swimming pool, the restaurant and arcade!! I want to stay here.Good video and thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the kind words! I definitely recommend staying here for the amenities, history, and convenience to Six Flags. Also, I’d love to know where all of the original Holidomes were. While never affiliated with Holiday Inn, South of the Border’s Pleasure Dome is very similar. I need to do a video on that someday 😁. -Andrew

I miss Holiday Inns with these indoor dome area's. We used to have one in Peoria, IL and now it's a storage facility...
