This video came up when I was spending time with God. I had a very intense, overwhelming experience when I was 12 years old. My baptism was more then I anticipated. I felt an unearthly happiness immediately! I couldn't stop smiling, laughing and praising God. Then I noticed that if anyone said a curse word it physically hurt my ears, that if anyone around me chose unholy things I couldn't bear it. It felt as though I was carrying around a body guard that told me what was right/wrong. It scared me, it was so intense and my environment was still such a broken one that everything about it felt wrong. I know now it was because my eyes were finally opened to the brokenness of the world. I'm my early 20's I chased that feeling, sought out God feverishly and He had mercy on me. I'm so grateful to have that intense memory. God did it for a reason and I cant wait to be in His presence in Heaven.

Amen. I found this out the hard way after being baptized I fell back into my old sinful lifestyle harder than ever. I struggle to pray and read the Bible and I know that's the problem because when I go long periods of praying everyday and reading my Bible I have a noticeable power (from God) over temptations. I recieved the baptism of the holy spirit and began to speak in tongues a bit unexpectedly I was worshipping in my car for the first time in years and the baptism came upon me. It apparently has happened to other people also just as unexpectedly and all ran to the pentecostal church for explanation. (call till you know, it took me 3days after I was baptized, some receive right at baptism) You ask Holy spirit to come till he does and then we are seal and deny daily the flesh and walk with your cross and follow. But it all starts at the cross, believe by faith in the faith in what he has done his righteousness saving you, you played no part, you just answered God's call for you to come to him. This video was very helpful as I was baptized in the holy spirit a few months ago after seeking God daily and even more often during Covid. I believe that God read that I was ready and he had this moment planned from before the time I was born. It brings with it a desire to evangelize people that I never had before. Not all want to listen though. Many are offended. Including my own family members who I am desperately praying for them to receive salvation. I have found others like me though that have been able to identify with the experience and guide me a bit with the being led by the spirit idea. I feel quite the need to devour the word of God as the enemy is being ruthless right now but Jesus has already overcome him and will deliver me through these attacks.

@@joridabr15 If you've confessed Christ as Lord, and have turned to love the Lord with all your heart, you first need to be baptized in water. "Baptize" means "to immerse" or "to dunk under"... just as you must be baptized in water, even so you need to be dunked into the Holy Spirit. No, don't get baptized in water again for this. (This is baptism in the Spirit, not in water.) Find a minister of a Pentecostal church, and ask him to lay his hands on you, to pray that you receive the Holy Ghost. That's how it was done in Acts. See Acts 8:17 and Acts 19:6.

So what about the church leaders who refuse to allow a time during the meeting to have interpretation of tongues and prophecy? Are they dictators? The Holy Spirit is not a dictator, right? What is wrong with letting someone speak in tongues and give an interpretation for the edification of all, by the words the Holy Spirit teaches? I really believe we need these manifestations in the meetings. It would really do us all so much good to hear what the Holy Spirit says. If we are not about receiving from the Holy Spirit, then what are we about?

This was a well-balanced video teaching, theologically. Likely much of the downside to the Baptizing (n.) of the Holy Ghost comes from erroneous, grandiose teachings and beliefs. Too much is read into the experience. As I also tweeted in greater detail, the so-called second blessing gives someone the ability to nearly effortlessly praise and worship God "in spirit and in truth," and often at great length, even when someone doesn't feel like it in the flesh--though of course flesh has to allow it. The Baptizing of the HG is not an end in and of itself, but as the video here also implied, it is a means to an end, that end being greater intimacy and holiness--when properly applied. The Holy Word gives examples of early disciples receiving Graces in addition to the Baptizing, such as matured Love, dunamis Power, etc., that are also FURTHER available, all of which I also tweet regarding.

Have you read the bible? Do you admit that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead? You must truly understand what that means. Confessing that Jesus is Lord means that he is your master, you serve noone else but him. You may unknowingly be serving idols. That's why it's important to know God's word🙏

The next time you feel led to praise and worship and thank the Heavenly Father, confine your speaking to just the one word "hallelujah." That word is basically the same in all languages, even heavenly/angelic/spirit ones. You may at some point feel it coming up from your belly rather than just in your mind (the belly is where the spirit resides). If so, let it flow. You'll be in complete control, so fear not. It may just evolve into a prayer language.

You're bringing up a debate that has existed in the Church for 2,000 years. How much of what we do in our interaction with God is by our free will and how much by His forcefully compelling/driving/thrusting us. It's a debate best left unsettled with others, there's no answer for you here. I, for one, "encourage" God to force me to do His will, if need be.

Truly, the battle for the believer is mostly in the mind. We're not yet in Heaven, aliens in a foreign place, and while here we have to face the torments of a fallen world and its evils. "He who hates his life will find it." If on the other hand we love our life, being not much bothered with bad thoughts, etc., etc., we are shallow beings with a shallow future. Innumerable times a day: "casting down imaginations...bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of the Living Word, Christ Jesus." (Para. & ampl.) "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever..." Phil. 4:6-8
