Best shed gym I’ve ever seen. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers 🏋️

Man, thanks so much! I haven't really shown an update on it since I finished this video up. We've added a few things to it since. I think the 10X16' space is the perfect size for budget and practicality. Let me know if you have any questions on it!

Great job! I am looking to do the same thing for my lake property and cabin. Thanks for sharing

I appreciate it! This has been one of the best investments we've made! Good luck with your build.

Decent setup. I would've gone a bit bigger with the shed though. You have the space for it. Awesome work though💪

I appreciate it! I remember when we bought the shed.. any size bigger (12X16, 12X20 etc..) was a massive price jump. I definitely would've liked bigger, but it was what we could afford at the time. It definitely works. Thanks for watching!

Awesome shed gym. I would love to have something like that 1 day 👍

It's the best addition we've added to our house by far and I can't recommend doing this enough! Thanks so much for watching and let me know if you ever have any questions about it.

Oh wow, what a great addition to the homestead!!! My mom was thinking you were working on your staircase! 😊 Your health is incredibly important. I could have / should have done a better job exercising when I was younger. Now I have issues to deal with ☹. You could probably get your workout done in the time you would spend in transit to and from the gym, not to mention the convenience. It is unfortunate that the price of lumber is / was so high, but you made an investment in your health and your property value. Both will pay dividends!!!! I like all the windows and glass in the doors. Love the shot of the mighty Kubota!!! Great job getting the power in before the big snow and the ground was frozen. You and Tess did a great job!!! We hope it brings you and Tessa many years of health and happiness!!!

Wow thank you so much! We are so excited to have it on the property. We've worked a little bit on the staircase, but have a ton of work left to do. Yeah the gym was definitely an investment, but for time sakes I think it will be worth it in the long run... plus it will make for more time to hike!! Thank you again so much for the nice comment! More videos coming soon, and one of a fun vacation that I hope you'll enjoy. Cheers to you and your mom! Take care!

@@theidahopanhandlers Hehehehe, hopefully the staircase will be a breeze compared to the gym. We just saw the short you posted. That was SO awesome!!! We cannot wait to see video from your trip!!! Stay safe and be well!!!

You could use a Wall Control system or any type of metal peg board at Lowes or Home depot to hang all those attachments. That way you could get rid of the plastic shelfing unit and free up some space.
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
Great idea! I’ll definitely check out the Wall Control System, but I bet the peg board idea would work great as well. Much better than my plastic shelving from Harbor Freight.. thanks for watching and for the comment!

Great video! That looks like a great space and is (almost) exactly what I want to do. Do you have any movement in the shed from doing pullups on the folding rig?
@theidahopanhandlers2 ай бұрын
Hey thanks so much for watching! We've had it for a couple of years and have experienced no movement or anything. I don't do kipping pull-ups, but I have necessarily been gentle in there either.
Really nice build! Have you had any issues with condensation when you turn the heater on?
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Travis! The biggest problem we had with condensation was when the drywall mud/texture was applied during the build. It needed to dry but with it being so cold outside we had to keep the windows open and had the heater cranking for about three days. We also had some condensation while the paint was drying as well. Other than that, no real condensation issues have been noticed with normal day to day use. On a hard workout, the windows and doors may fog up a hair but that’s it. Thanks so much for watching!

I like how everything came out. Definitely nice to have your own gym at home. How far did you run your electric line and what wire size you use?
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! It’s been really great having it at our disposal. It’s nearly impossible to have an excuse to not workout now. The line was ran right around 100’ and I believe we ran 4 gauge copper which was to a 70 amp sub panel. Does that answer your question?
@andressalazar43792 жыл бұрын
@@theidahopanhandlers : Yes it does. Thank you so much. I was just curious about the length. I would like to do something similar. The shed also will be located about 100 feet away from my home. Right now my power rack and weights just sit outside, on the back yard. But been holding well. I like the look of your shed. Looks so modern.
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
@@andressalazar4379 Awesome - you bet! We had our electrician friend give us a hand with all of the down and dirty specs so it made it a little easier to figure out. 10’X16’ is the perfect small space for a gym in my opinion.. obviously the bigger the better but it works great. I plan on building a little outdoor calisthenics gym next to it one of these days as well. I hear you on needing a better space for your equipment too. Would love to have you as a subscriber to the channel if interested. Feel free to shoot me any messages about the build. Cheers!
@@andressalazar4379 thank you sir. Take care, and good luck!

How do you build a gym into a shed? Or is it convert a shed into a home gym?
@logankerkar60092 жыл бұрын
Where did you purchase the shed? Looks Great
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It was from a company called ‘The Shed Center.’ They have a few locations around the Northern Parts of Idaho and into Montana I believe. Thanks so much for watching!

Is the floor insulated? If not, how was it through the winter? Great looking building.
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim! The floor is not insulated, but all in all it did really well over through the winter with staying warm. The wall heater cranks heat, and the shed warms up fairly quickly. We'll typically go outside before we're ready to use it, turn the heater on, and within 30 minutes or so it's good to go. I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but we went with 8" on center floor joists for extra support as well. Also, I'm not sure if the stall mats provide any R value or not, but I would think that would help some. Thanks for watching!
@dylanowens31732 жыл бұрын
I would commend Making a real post footing not just rock base. Lifting you need a stable level base, a base on just rocks will shift off level, can cause injury and place body at angles you don't realize.
@theidahopanhandlers2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dylan so far so good. In the video I didn't film it, but we actually used a plate compactor on the gravel prior to the shed being delivered and placed on the pad. The gravel bed felt like concrete. Thanks for the reply man and I'll take that into consideration next time. Would love to have you as a subscriber to the channel if interested. Thanks again!
