@@penny8579 Tbh you are right and I don’t think age gaps as a WHOLE are an issue, especially ten years, (my parents have a 15 year age gap) but I do also think it depends on the situation because a 28 year old is considerably closer to being a 30 year old while an 18 year old is considerably closer to being a teenager and this can create a really nasty power dynamic in some situations. And then you add in him being a cop which already has a high potential to create an unhealthy power dynamic. In a true crime video it just seems like a bit of a red flag lol But I do get what you mean, age gaps themselves aren’t necessarily bad or a big deal

@@avacado1423 Agreed. My parents have like, an eleven year age gap but they're in their 40's & 50's. A 28 year old man is a full on grown man who has been an adult for ten years. Someone who is expected to have his life figured out. An 18 year old is like, a collage student. You don't magically become "a very mature adult person who can date any adult of any age" when you turn 18. They are not a full on adult yet. There is a massive power gap. Doug Prade would 100% have known the residue test wasn't being performed properly because they use little stubs that have adhesive on them to pick up the gsr if it's present. Hi, I am from Akron, OH though I now live in Los Angeles. I never had the pleasure of knowing her but I did become close with her best friend who is a therapist and actually wrote a book about Margo. Her soon to be ex-husband was abusive to her and also cheated on her. She was a kind, intelligent woman who was finally tired of the way this man treated her. He took her life because he knew he was losing control of her.

I want you to notice that most of the cases Eleanor has covered involves the murder of a woman, I live in Mexico and I have to face this reality every single waking hour, 10 women die every day just because they’re women. I don’t know how this situation is in other countries, but if you’re reading this, I want you to know you’re not alone, we’re fighting because we’re tired of watching a girl missing everyday in the news, we’re tired of not knowing if our friends are okay or even if they got home safe. it’s always so weird to me how people comment in a way that feels like they don’t actually realize this is real, these are real people not “characters”
@KarrahStark4 жыл бұрын
Laura H Of course it’s just my opinion, but sometimes commenters may sound callous like they don’t realize these are real people but we tend to use these types of videos to blow off steam from our own stresses and issues and so we watch with the attitude that it’s a good mystery story and get excited or even a bit inappropriate with our treatment of the people involved. Like you said, like “characters.” I realize this is a sad and horrible crime but it allows me to step out of my life and actually just enjoy some good content. Reality it totally stranger than fiction. Hope this makes sense and may help as to why the attitudes may seem a little less than sensitive in the comments.

It being told as a story does make the people characters though. They are real of course but this is a story being told
@astoldbynickgerr4 жыл бұрын
Megan Haggerty these are real life victims and perpetrators. not “characters”. this isn’t a made up tale, it’s a true story.
@meggswaggs59654 жыл бұрын
A ViRGO obviously I know that. But when it’s being told in story format, they become characters. That’s not terribly hard to understand idk why you’re having me repeat myself
@Unknown_chick4 жыл бұрын
Real people are characters, too. Everyone is part of the story. Fiction is based on reality, not the other way around. I don't see the issue.

@iknodewaemybruddas👁👄👁 ok well you have completely misinterpreted my comment I am also thanking her as well my point was that there has been awful discrimination and vile crimes against black people and other ethnic groups other than white and my point was it should never of happened ever and the reason there is so much coverage on the situation is because of the protests and it's being made very much publicly aware anyway I will get to the point these cases should have always been treated with equal amounts of attention. In an ideal world we wouldn't have to hear about crime and all the other unjust things in life so it's so important to always speak up and not stand for these heinous acts and to spread love and kindness

I have listened to a lot of true crime cases in my life, but this one struck me so hard. Kenya was my god sister and role model growing up. She was so supportive, driven, humble and loving just as her mother is described. It hurt me to my core knowing that she had to navigate life without her mother and now that her children are experiencing the same, it is devastating. Thank you for covering this Eleanor.

Sounds like the cartoony Keystone Cops to me but the courts were no better. Too bad they didn't have today's technology available to them at that time. This man should never, ever get out of prison. I think in a way it was a good thing that he had that little taste of freedom. He'll suffer so more (likely in some form of solitary away from the general population of the prison because he was a high ranking police officer) for the freedom he's lost all because of his actions in committing the horrific murder of his ex wife. He's a monster, monsters belong in dark, dingy cells. 😡
@aathenaiz61513 жыл бұрын
that wouldn’t work, his dna and finger prints already were there plus probably at sometime she gave someone a lift so they left finger prints or random people could’ve left theirs
