So then.. why are there now "regional banks" inside the PRC.. that can do foreign currencies of other countries.. but they are also not regulated OR monitored? Aren't those individuals also at risk of NSL as well ?? So how come THOSE people were untouched ?? So how come.. HK.. which was born out of the Eight Nation's agreements.. and then the standard of living of the people.. and everything else... allowed people to "experience a true life"... From working to provide for their children, to see their child change.. to everything else ?... This kind of life experiences, is rare... you know?... And it only happens if indeed... you are allowed to present your voice as well..."this is not good for me because.. I am in this and this position"... From a genuine non-monetary country.. to be monetised... to be doing work... to be experiencing life. I used to thought that.. that movie.. I met Mr. Lai once. It was during a March to promote the civic referendum before the planned Occupy Central in 2014. The Apple Daily also kept promoting the cause. I agree with one of the interviewees that the Apple Daily was HK’s only pro-democracy newspaper. Mr. Lai and his colleagues have braved tremendous political and economic pressure to run the newspaper. They are all true HKers! Thank you!

My tears wouldn't stop while watching this film. I feel so sorry for Mr. Lai and his family. Although he could have left Hong Kong, he chose to stay and now he is in jail, facing an unjust trial. A true "Hong Konger"? Seriously? You're entirely missing his point. He's not concerned about any specific place. Tyranny happens everywhere humans reside. It's not unique to Hong Kong.
